Official Rules and Regulations

The following promotion is intended for residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) and will be construed and evaluated according to U.S. and Canadian law as indicated below. Please do not enter if you are not a resident of Canada.Void where prohibited by law.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS (“OFFICIAL RULES”) BEFORE ENTERING THE ‘WEDDINGWIRE CANADA ENTRIES SWEEPSTAKES’ (THE “SWEEPSTAKES”) HOSTED AND ADMINISTERED BY WEDDING PLANNER, S.L. (“WEDDING PLANNER”). BY ENTERING THIS SWEEPSTAKES, YOU REPRESENT THAT YOU SATISFY ALL OF THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS IN RULES 1 AND 2 BELOW AND YOU ARE DEEMED TO HAVE READ AND TO AGREE TO BE BOUND UNCONDITIONALLY BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES.

1. HOW TO ENTER

Sweepstakes is a monthly drawing continuing until terminated by Wedding Planner, in Wedding Planner’s sole discretion (the “Sweepstakes Period”). To participate in the Sweepstakes, visit www.Weddingwire.ca (the “Website”) and complete the instructions found there for the Sweepstakes (each an “Entry”) prior to 11:59: p.m. ET on the last day of the month. All Entries must be manual. Automated Entries are prohibited, and any use of automated devices will result in disqualification. Entries that are submitted before or after the Entry Period will be disqualified. Wedding Planner’s computer will be the official timekeeping device for this sweepstakes. Wedding Planner reserves the right to end the sweepstakes at any time.

By entering the Contest, you represent and warrant that you are the owner or licensee of any and all materials and information, including photos, videos, and personal information, submitted by you to the Contest and you automatically grant, and you represent and warrant that you have the right to grant, to Wedding Planner an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, transferable, fully-paid-up, royalty-free, worldwide license (with the right to sublicense at multiple levels) to use, copy, publicly perform, publicly display, reformat, translate, excerpt (in whole or in part), transfer, distribute any such materials for any purpose and in any format on or in connection with the weddingwire.ca website or its respective affiliated or partner sites, the Wedding Planner’s respective businesses, or the promotion thereof, prepare derivative works, incorporate into other works, and/or grant and authorize sublicenses of the foregoing. Submissions must not, in the sole and unfettered discretion of Wedding Planner, contain obscene, provocative, defamatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate content, and submissions must not infringe any intellectual property rights of third parties.

2. ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes by submitting an Entry, you must be a legal resident of Canada (excluding Quebec) who is of legal age in your province or territory of residence as of February 1, 2017, a registered and confirmed weddingwire.ca account holder, and be in the process of planning your wedding or have gotten married as of 01/01/2023. You are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes by submitting an Entry if you are: (a) an employee of Wedding Planner (an “Employee”); (b) an immediate family member of an Employee (a “Family Member”); or (c) a person residing in the same household as an Employee or a Family Member. At any time, Wedding Planner will have the right to request from any individual who has participated in these Sweepstakes by submitting an Entry (each an “Entrant”), proof of identity and/or eligibility to participate. Failure to provide proof within a reasonable time could result in the Entrant’s disqualification. Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, territorial and local laws and regulations. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Entrants who, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, do not comply with these Official Rules or who otherwise tamper with the entry process. Void outside of Canada (excluding Quebec) and where prohibited by law.

3. SELECTION OF WINNER

On or about the 15th business day of each month, or as soon as practicable, among all Entries received and processed during the previous calendar month of the Sweepstakes Period, a random drawing will be conducted by Wedding Planner. Odds of winning are dependent upon the total number of eligible Entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. Wedding Planner or its representative will attempt to contact the selected Entrant by email or phone once per day for three (3) business days. If the selected Entrant does not respond via email, phone or voicemail within three (3) business days, or is contacted but is deemed to be ineligible in Wedding Planner’s sole discretion, or is unable or unwilling to comply with these Official Rules, that selected Entrant will be disqualified and another Entrant will be randomly selected from the remaining eligible Entries and contacted in accordance with this Rule 3. Wedding Planner is not responsible for any change in an Entrant's email address. Before being declared winner, a selected Entrant must correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, the mathematical skill- testing question included on the Sweepstakes Release Form referred to in Rule 5.

4. GRAND PRIZE

Only one (1) prize (the “Grand Prize”) will be awarded. Eligible entrants will have the chance to win the Grand Prize as described below, to be awarded to the winner selected by Wedding Planner in accordance with Rule 3. Unless indicated below, all elements of the Grand Prize are provided by the Wedding Planner.

The Grand Prize will include:

$1,000.00CDN in check form or other cash equivalent as designated by Wedding Planner in its sole discretion. The total value of this Grand Prize will not exceed $1,000.00CDN. Any costs and expenses associated with the Grand Prize and not specifically referred to in these Official Rules and all applicable taxes in respect of any such additional expenses are the sole responsibility of the Sweepstakes winner. For the purpose of determining the value of all components of the Grand Prize, the determinations of Wedding Planner will be final and binding. The Grand Prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred, substituted or redeemed for cash or otherwise, except in the Province’s sole discretion.

5. RELEASES

Before being declared the Sweepstakes winner, the selected Entrant will be required to sign a declaration of eligibility and release form (the “Release”) indicating that the selected Entrant: (a) has complied and agrees to comply with these Official Rules; (b) accepts the Grand Prize as offered; (c) will keep his/her winning notification confidential until notified; (d) releases Wedding Planner, their affiliates, subsidiaries, agents, employees, contractors, assigns and any other parties to be added to the Release by Wedding Planner in their sole discretion (the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damages, costs or expenses arising from his/her participation in the Sweepstakes or his/her acceptance, use, misuse or awarding of the Grand Prize, including, without limitation, liability for losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property; (e) indemnifies the Released Parties from and against any and all losses that the Released Parties may incur arising out of any act or omission by him/her in connection with the Sweepstakes or the Grand Prize, including losses arising from any and all claims of third parties arising therefrom; and (f) except where prohibited by law, acknowledges Wedding Planner’s and their respective authorized representatives’ rights to publish and/or broadcast his/her picture, name, address, voice, likeness and/or statements without further compensation other than the Grand Prize offered. The Release may also contain such other terms and conditions as Wedding Planner, in its sole discretion, may decide.

The selected Entrant must return the Release in accordance with the instructions indicated on the document. If the Release is not returned on time or is returned as non-deliverable or if the selected Entrant is disqualified for any other reason, the Grand Prize will be forfeited and another Entrant will be randomly selected from the remaining eligible Entries. All such releases must be returned by the date indicated on the document.

BY ACCEPTING PRIZE, THE WINNER WILL BE REQUIRED TO ACCEPT AND ACKNOWLEDGE THAT HIS/HER PARTICIPATION IN THE GRAND PRIZE IS VOLUNTARY AND AGREE THAT THE RELEASED PARTIES SHALL NOT BE IN ANY WAY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY RESULTING INJURY AND/OR DEATH.

6. CONSENT AGREEMENT

By entering this Sweepstakes, you: (1) agree to be bound by these Official Rules; (2) consent to the use of your name, voice, picture, and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes in any medium throughout the world in perpetuity without additional compensation unless prohibited by law, and (3) agree that Wedding Planner may send you information, promotions, or special offers that Wedding Planner determines may be of interest to you.

7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Wedding Planner does not assume any responsibility for and under no circumstances will Wedding Planner, or its respective agents, employees, contractors and assigns be liable to any person or business entity for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential or other damages based on any Entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes, including for: (i) Entries which are incomplete, unintelligible, lost, late or misdirected; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to failure of the Internet or the Website during the Sweepstakes Period, any problems, failure or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, online or electronic systems, servers, access providers, computer hardware or software, incomplete, garbled or delayed Internet/e-mail computer transmissions on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof or other failures related to hardware, software or virus; (iii) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Sweepstakes; (iv) technical or human error related to the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of Entries; (v) any injury, loss or damage of any kind which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from any Entrant’s, winner’s or guest’s participation in the Sweepstakes or the receipt of the Grand Prize; (vi) any use of the Website or any other website to which the Website is linked (including without limitation any injury or damage to an Entrant’s or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Sweepstakes); or (vii) any Entrant’s failure to abide by the Official Rules. The limitations of liability set out in this Rule 7 apply, without limitation, to any lost profits, business interruption or loss of programs or information and will apply even if Wedding Planner has been specifically advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. WARRANTY DISCLAIMER

The Website and all of the information it contains are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied. All implied warranties, including, without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, are hereby expressly disclaimed. The Grand Prize is awarded “as is” and without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

9. MISCELLANEOUS

All decisions of the Wedding Planner or its authorized representatives will be final and binding in all matters relating to the administration of this Sweepstakes. Wedding Planner reserves the right, without prior notice, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the electronic portion of the Sweepstakes if, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes is corrupted or adversely affected, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond its control. In the event of cancellation of the electronic portion of the Sweepstakes, Wedding Planner may randomly select a winning Entry from all eligible Entries received prior to cancellation in accordance with Rule 3. Wedding Planner reserves the right to amend the Official Rules without prior notice if any factor interferes with the proper conduct of the Sweepstakes as contemplated by these Official Rules. Should multiple users of the same e-mail account enter the Sweepstakes and a dispute thereafter arise regarding the identity of the Entrant, the authorized account holder of said email account at the time of entry will be considered the Entrant. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization which is responsible for assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
