Furnace Falls Farm is a wedding venue situated in Lyndhurst, Ontario. This country retreat is nestled in the Rideau Lakes area and offers a relaxing atmosphere to hold weddings and other special events. The venue’s working farm grows veggies, herbs, and flowers, which are sold, preserved and used at the farm’s own events.

Facilities and Capacity

This facility features both indoor and outdoor areas to host events celebrating couples’ one-of-a-kind love. Couples can say “I do” underneath the majestic Big Tree, located on the farm’s scenic property. Picturesque gardens and a peaceful meadow provide plenty of opportunities for memorable wedding photos. The charming renovated barn boasts solid wood harvest tables and a bar. This spacious barn has enough room for up to 150 seated dinner guests and up to 200 for dancing the night away. A festive outdoor fire pit is situated nearby, offering additional room for guests to enjoy the evening.

Beautiful Venue with amazing, helpful staff!!

I loved working with the Wendy & Karen and all the staff involved at Furnace Falls Farm! They were very accommodating and went above and beyond to make our wedding day perfect! I would strongly recommend this venue!!

Most incredible and memorable day of our lives

On September 28th 2019 we got married at Furnace Falls Farm, and it was the most incredible and memorable day of our lives. From the first day we saw the beautiful property and met Wendy, Karen and the rest of the team we knew that we had stumbled upon something special. The staff at Furnace Falls Farm went above and beyond at each step of the wedding planning process to make the day special for us. For example, Karen made the most delicious dessert we have ever had for our rehearsal dinner - a S’mores Baked Alaskan, which they prepared because I had told them my favourite dessert was S’mores! The day of the wedding, the staff worked so hard to try and make sure our wedding ceremony could be outside despite the weather being unpredictable. They were extremely flexible and patient when the weather was not cooperating and did an amazing job adapting to our “Plan C” at the last minute. They did everything they could to make our ceremony in the barn perfect. I will never forget the feeling I had when I walked into the barn and saw the warm rustic lighting and the faces of everyone I loved, it was truly magical. Our friends and family have not stopped talking about how amazing the food was. Everyone was so appreciative that the dinner was not only prepared on site, but grown on site as well. It was truly a “Farm to Table” experience. Wendy, Karen and the rest of the staff put their heart and soul into making our experience at Furnace Falls Farm unforgettable, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the memories they have given us. We love you all!

BEWARE - Cancelled on 23 days notice

Very unsatisfactory experience. Tried to book a 70 guest anniversary celebration. They quoted a good rate on the venue. The meal pricing looked fair -- they did a great looking Valentine's dinner at $75/head (+HST = $84.75). Great looking menu. When they got back to us with prices for a chicken BBQ with relatively standard sides, it was 28% higher ($108.80 with tax and tip). When we politely enquired if there was a lower priced option, they would not even call us. Sent us an e-mail, cancelling and returning our deposit, on 23 days notice.

I am honoured to host you, your partner, your family and your friends here at Furnace Falls Farm. I work with you, alongside our dedicated Chef, Chef Karen, to customize your wedding day to best suit your needs and wants. I am proud of the team we have here including my daughter Leigha who works tirelessly alongside our staff to ensure the grounds, the barn, and the house are in impeccable shape for your big day.

I am passionate about sharing my farming roots and my love for farm-fresh food with those who have an appreciation for what we have to offer here at Furnace Falls Farm. I would be happy to provide you with a tour of our venue and I look forward to answering any questions you might have.

I am Chef Karen and I come to Furnace Falls Farm with an extensive background as a previous restaurant owner and chef in the US for 15 years. My parents were both chefs so it is safe to say that the hospitality business is in my blood. I work closely with you on all aspects of the wedding and together we design a food plan that fits your needs, your wants and any dietary needs. I pride myself on providing you with the highest quality farm-fresh food for your dining pleasure. It has been said often that my organizational skills are as exceptional as my cooking skills and as such nothing about your wedding day here at Furnace Falls Farm is left to chance. We have a dedicated group of servers that assist with our functions and my husband Chef Hans is often at my side in the kitchen as well.

Here at Furnace Falls Farm, we think of your wedding day as our big day too and we want it to be a special experience for everyone involved!
