Situated in Ilderton, Ontario, Knottingwood is an elegant barn-style wedding venue surrounded by an idyllic landscape. It was co-founded by Dave and Cindy and Scott and Ashely. A labour of love, these individuals spent three years looking for the perfect property for their vision. In 2019, they established the venue, creating a pastoral retreat for weddings and events. Between the paths, fields, and forests, couples and their guests have plenty of natural and agricultural scenery around them to enjoy during the celebrations.

Facilities and Capacity

Knottingwood is located on 50 acres of land in the countryside, making it a true refuge from the buzz of the city. With the trees in the background and the birds singing their gentle tunes, couples can begin their day with vows held under the open sky. The outdoor ceremony spot provides a picture-worthy backdrop for couples as they express their love and commitment. After, the newlyweds and their family and friends can adjourn to the elegant and understated barn. This spacious area is able to accommodate up to 140 guests but is adaptable to smaller gatherings as well. This rustic setting can be decorated to bring a couple’s dream wedding theme to life, though it is also suitable as is given its innate elegance. Separate from the main reception area, the barn features the Cedar Bar, where cocktail hours can be held. Sophisticated and with natural wood tones, it provides the ideal space for mingling while the couple and their entourage take pictures. Throughout the venue, couples can easily host every aspect of their wedding festivities, from the “I dos” to the last dance.

Services Offered

Knottingwood offers packages for elopements as well as Sunday and Saturday weddings. They are also able to provide bartending and coffee services. Event rentals, such as draping for the pergola and a twinkle light backdrop, may also be used if the couple chooses. To make planning simpler, the team offers a list of suggested vendors.
