The brainchild of founders Jodi and Layson LaFayette, Obsidian Ridge exists to provide an alternative kind of event space to your average venue. Part of the LaFayette’s mission with this establishment is to help their clients fully immerse themselves in their milestone celebration. They offer an overnight experience so guests can reap the benefits of their unique resort. You may begin your day in the hobbit hole get-ready suite which is built out of a converted airstream vehicle and features a contemporary, luxurious design. Then, you can pass through the moon gate and exchange your vows in the epic amphitheater, constructed entirely from monolithic stone. Your guests can witness your ceremony surrounded by the great outdoors, with a seven-stage waterfall and infinity edge pond only a short distance away. Gather post-service around the fire pit and share some refreshments. This carefully crafted area is a brief walk from the camping grounds and has a capacity of up to 200 people. To host a remarkable reception, you are invited to make use of the specially crafted indoor reception tent. This structure, with its dramatic fabric cathedral ceiling and stunning views of the surrounding landscape, provides a spacious area in which to share a meal with loved ones. Warm chandelier lighting throws a golden glow upon you from above, aiding the peaceful ambiance. Following your meal, seating can be cleared to make way for the dancefloor, where you and your guests can revel until bedtime.
