Ponderosa City is a wedding venue located in Alder Flats, Alberta. This private ranch is nestled on more than 80 scenic acres in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, offering a genuine country western experience. The venue features a main street with Wild West flair, an expansive banquet hall, and a warm ambience for couples and their guests to enjoy. Owners Kevin and Mary Rowland delight in sharing their facility with couples and helping them to create memories that they’ll treasure long after their celebration.

Facilities and Capacity

The venue boasts numerous event spaces to accommodate wedding festivities. Couples can opt to say “I do” at Cowboy Church, a one-of-a-kind outdoor chapel, or at the wooden gazebo. The gazebo may be left on its own for a rustic feel or can be decorated to suit the couple’s individual wedding style. Here, couples are able to declare their love in front of guests in a tranquil, nature-filled atmosphere. For receptions, the facility provides the banquet hall, where couples will find wood plank floors, a sound system and microphone, a stage, and a fireplace. This event space is adorned in country western decor and includes a charming log bar, and classic carriage lamps. In addition, six-foot rectangular tables and chairs are available for up to 200 people.
