The venue is ideal for soon-to-be newlyweds who wish to celebrate with their loved ones in a private, picturesque setting.
Facilities and Capacity
This barn has been carefully preserved to protect its historic quality. Its owners have lovingly restored the building while retaining many of the original features. The pegged post and beam barn reflects the 19th-century architectural style. With very few changes to the interior, the building exudes historic appeal. The venue boasts a main floor area and a mezzanine level where guests can view the festivities from above and photographers can capture unique images. Couples can personalize the warm wood interior with decor, lighting, and furniture to enhance the space. The venue provides tables and chairs to accommodate 99 guests. Additionally, there is an outdoor patio area where newlyweds and guests can mingle and enjoy the fresh air. It also serves as a memorable backdrop for summer ceremonies when the surrounding greenery is in full bloom. The property’s gardens and tranquil pond are beautiful spots for romantic photo opportunities. Beyond the gardens and patio, the expertly manicured field is available for guests to use for lawn games.

Meet the team
We are Katherine & Dieter Becker, the owners of The Great Good Barn. After our retirement we decided to fulfill some dreams about our property by restoring a 140 year old barn and adding a Japanese inspired garden and tea house. Our vision included inviting family and friends to enjoy these spaces with us. Most of the work we did ourselves, but when needed these special people joined in the work and so it became a labour of love. We were encouraged to open the barn for others to enjoy and now we are offering it to you. We are here to help you realize the dream for your special event and will work with you to make it happen.
