DoubleTree by Hilton West Edmonton is a hotel and wedding venue located in Edmonton, Alberta. This newly renovated (Spring 2024) venue offers a beautiful setting for weddings of all types, whether traditional or modern. Couples who choose this venue for their celebrations will experience a warm atmosphere, stunning decor, and a dedicated staff.

Facilities and Capacity: The hotel offers a variety of event spaces to accommodate celebrations of different sizes, from intimate affairs to grand galas. Events up to 500 guests.

The Alpine Lakes Room is suitable for smaller celebrations, with a capacity for 110 people. For slightly larger guest lists, the Palisades Room can host up to 150 people and features majestic 16-foot ceilings. The Rundle and Robson Ballrooms can also be combined for events with up to 150 guests. These rooms are adorned with elegant modern chandeliers and sconce lighting.

For the largest gatherings, the hotel provides the Grand Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 500 guests.

Services Offered: DoubleTree by Hilton West Edmonton is pleased to host a range of wedding-related celebrations, including engagement parties, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, and receptions.

The experienced team works closely with couples to ensure that their special day reflects their unique style and tastes. They offer assistance with floral and seating arrangements, setup and cleanup, event rentals, lighting/sound, and more.

Cuisine: Enjoy delicious wedding fare created by the professional catering staff. They can tailor menus to fit each event’s specific needs, whether it includes a simple cocktail reception or a four-course meal. The team is dedicated to making your big day unforgettable.

Dream Come True

After getting engaged at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Glasgow, we thought it would be so cool to get married at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Edmonton. They helped us find a date that worked for everyone and walked us through the process, answered all our questions and the day of was lovely. The food was amazing (my dad has been raving about the soup we chose since the menu tasting, and it's not the type of food he would normally rave about). They accommodated all our many food allergies and intolerances, worked well with outside vendors and any other questions we had. They are very busy, so sometimes it took a while to hear back, but when we were in town, I always heard promptly (wedding was planned from out of province). Everything was beautiful and I worried very little. :)

Stress free wedding venue

We held our wedding reception in the Palisades ball room. It was the perfect size for our wedding and was very romantically lit. The staff was amazing! They were very accommodating, professional and were more than willing to go the extra mile for us! The food was delicious and there were so many amazing options! If you are looking for a relaxing, stress free venue with professional staff, lovely ball room decor, and delectable food, then Double Tree by Hilton is DEFINITELY the place you are looking for!

Professional staff, a bit expensive for me.

We've been trying to find place for about one year when we finally decided on this place. the first place we want was not available by the time we made up our mind. So out of many other option we have, we decided on this place. It is ended up being a very beautiful wedding although a big part of it was due to the decoration done by our wedding planner.


pros :
- The hotel exterior and interior is nice.
- alot of parking space and no traffic coming here.
- our contact with the hotel are pretty fast with his/her response.
- the staff are very professional. I do want to give shout out to one of the manager (Vijay i think), for helping us to get what our party needs even though its very late during the night and when he was low on staff already.
- the location is kind of convenient for out of town-er ans there are food around the area within walking distance. And shuttle from airport stops here.

con :
-price is ok, but I end up spending more than I was planning and more on the no-so-cheap side. But then what do you expect, its a hotel.
- flexibility to do cetain stuff is very low. We can't bring any food or drink from outside. Can't hang decoration on the wall. The hours of our contact person are also limited to business hour.
- The place is not originally decorated for wedding, so I end up spending few thousand to decorate the room.
- I also end up having to hire a wedding planner. Thanks to my wedding planner, she negotiated and get more stuff out of the hotel.


in summary :
- This is a nice place if you have a professional planner (if not one yourself) to do it, and money is not a concern to you.

Stress free hotel with amazing food

Amy and her staff made our day exactly what we had hoped for. They were super accommodating and made our wedding stress free. The food was amazing! Our guests couldn’t stop commenting how amazing it was. L

Our experience with Doubletree was incredible. We were extremely impressed with the quality of service and level of professionalism demonstrated by all of the staff, particularly Stephen Simmons, the Catering Service Manager. We would highly recommend Doubletree for those seeking venues for future events!

The Double Tree played a huge role in making my wedding the perfect day. The food, venue, and service was all amazing. The catering manager (Stephen) was also so wonderful to work with. He made the planning easy, and took care of everything he possibly could leading up to the big day. Another thing I really appreciated was being able to meet the chef that would be taking care of the food. It honestly eased all my worries regarding the food and whether or not it would actually be good, and let me tell you, we were not disappointed (and neither were our guests!) Every one of my guests that I was in touch with after the wedding couldn't stop raving about how delicious the food was and how beautiful the place looked. We could not have chosen a better venue!

And don't EVEN get me started on those cookies!

We had an excellent experience planning our wedding with the DoubleTree. Stephen was really helpful and was always able to answer our questions from our initial booking leading up to our event. On the day of our wedding, the staff was accommodating. There were enough staff working through dinner and the manager working that evening was helpful and professional. After going to our tasting, we were impressed how the kitchen staff took our requests into consideration to make them possible for our wedding. The food was fresh and we received many compliments from our guests about how good everything tasted. The only part of the evening where there was some confusion was during the midnight snack. We ran out of Poutine way before we ran out of the Sliders and before half the people had even received their potion. However, once we pointed it out to the hotel staff, they brought more out and it was resolved. I would definitely recommend the DoubleTree to other brides and grooms looking for excellent service and great food for their wedding.

So glad we went with the Doubletree for our wedding. We worked with Stephen, and he made planning easy and stress free. Our emails were always returned promptly, and he was proactive in getting us the information we needed. The staff was very professional, helpful, and accommodating throughout the whole process. Our guests were very impressed with the service they received. The food was amazing. Our evening went so smoothly, and we were able to fully enjoy every minute, knowing that they had everything handled. Having our wedding at a venue where people could stay overnight and not worry about getting a ride home was important to us. There were lots of rooms for our guests, and free on site parking. They have a great brunch as well, which gave us another opportunity to visit with our guests without having to have a formal gift opening.
We have also attended quite a few other weddings/events at the Doubletree and have never been disappointed. We would have no hesitation recommending this venue to other couples.

This place is amazing!! The catering manager, Stephen Simmons, was so welcome the first time we met. He was very helpful throughout the whole planning!! You don't need a planner when you got Stephen😊
The food was soooo good. The service was amazing!! I would highly recommend this place for your wedding reception.
