Golden Beach Resort is a charming wedding venue located in Roseneath, Ontario, just 20 minutes from the 401 outside of Cobourg, 1.5 hour from Toronto & Kingston. This waterfront property has stunning panoramic views and photo locations. Situated on Rice Lake, couples and their guests can enjoy the comfort of a cottage weekend away, while still getting to having access to modern accommodations, boat rentals, resort activities, golf at our sister resort and so much more. The site has a history stretching back to the early 20th century, aswell as in operation since 1948. Staff are all extremely client dedicated, and we will be so happy to host you for your special day.
Ceremony & Reception
Golden Beach Resort is perfect for your intimate family gathering as well as much large Events. With spaces that can host 60-225 guests, indoors or outdoors. We have approximately 400 acres, making it ideal for photo opportunities, evening bonfires, or mingling beneath the stars.
Say I do on Wedding hill. This private location takes you down a winding path through the mature hardwood and delivers you to a plateau with breathtaking views of Rice Lake and the countryside. This location, while very private, is still close to everything and its beauty makes it a truly unique location to exchange vows.
Time to eat and party in our Banquet Hall. Our spacious banquet hall can accommodate up to 225 people making it the ideal location for your wedding reception. Our air-conditioned banquet hall features a dance floor, guest seating area, stage for head table or performers, and its own bar. With its cathedral ceilings and large windows overlooking Rice Lake and the surrounding countryside, our hall can be customized to suit any style you desire.
Take your whole event outside using a tent or the Pavilion. An outdoor space with roof. Option for ceremony up to 100 or outdoor reception space for up to 70 guests for reception. Tents can be brought in for groups up to 300.
Weekend Family Staycation
Invite your guests to stay the weekend or just for the wedding night. Wedding groups will receive a group discount for their guests’ accommodations with the special permission to book 1 night instead of the regular 2 night minimum. Of course, your guests may take the opportunity to indulge in everything our resort has to offer and add a few more nights. All our accommodation options include fully equipped kitchens, dining rooms, multiple bedrooms (2-4) in each, bathroom, BBQ, and fire pit access. Ask about a tour of the Condos or Cabins to see for yourself!

While planning: Cindy was always a phone call, text or email away and went above and beyond my expectations! She calmed me down more times then I can count and I am extremely grateful for her and her daughter who was the bartender at the wedding!
During your wedding weekend: I will admit I didn't think a few things through went it came to planning the reception but that did not matter because Cindy and Lawrence had my back and between them and my family every hiccup was solved before I even knew about it. From the moment I arrived on scene for the wedding weekend they pulled me and my now husband aside and discussed expectations, they met every single one! Becca at reception will make sure you and your family have a great stay and the rest of the team will be making your whole weekend or day feel as magical as you'd want it too!
Food: I sadly never got to meet the chef or do a tasting (pandemic wedding problems) I was a bit nervous if I chose the right food package, I went with the gold package and you would not be disappointed, many people came to compliment us about our food choice and me and my now husband 😁 loved it as well! (Yes, I got to eat at my own wedding.. Lawrence will make sure of it)
Honestly if your looking for AMAZING views, service and overall experience, you'd be crazy not to check them out, I promise you won't be disappointed!
