Facilities and capacity

The property offers three licensed rooms depending on the size of the wedding party. The Fireside Lounge has a capacity of 20 and is ideal for small intimate gatherings. The Bayview Room can accommodate up to 35 guests for seated functions and 50 guests for stand-up cocktail events. Herons Dining Room is a public restaurant that can be hired for private events that can seat up to 156 which also includes an outdoor deck. There is a bridal suite available for the bride to get ready.

The Herons Dining Room has qualified and experienced chefs. The Herons Dining Room's bar is liquor licensed and offers premium liquors, speciality brews, house brews, signature drinks, and more. They serve large groups in both plated and buffet-style service. The Herons Dining Room offers several mouth-watering west coast and seafood specialities. Accommodations

The entire accommodation of Heriot Bay can be rented, which is includes ten rooms, three cabins, and a two bedroom suite. The accommodation of the Inn sleeps up to 50 guests, if all rooms are double occupancy. Including pull-out couches in the cabins and suite there are a total of 29 beds. The rooms are European style, which is to say cozy, clean and small bed n' bath with queen beds. The cabins and the suite have full kitchens and TV, the rooms do not.

There is also a Marina and campground with RV sites.

Complimentary wireless connectivity is provided in all accommodations and public areas of the property.

History

Heriot Bay Inn was established in 1895 by Hosea Arminis Bull. The building was burned down and was later rebuilt in 1912. It was later sold in 1926 and changed hands again in 1943. The building underwent some major renovations in 1986 and bathrooms for all rooms were added. In 2008 the Inn was purchased by a local group called Community Custodial Concepts led by Lois Taylor and Paul Mortimer.

Heriot Bay Inn is an eight-minute drive from Heriot Bay that is a ten minutes ferry ride from Campbell River. It takes two-hours to drive from the north of Nanaimo or a three and half hour drive from Victoria to get to B.C Ferries Campbell River.
