Island Lake Lodge is a resort wedding venue located in Fernie, British Columbia. Tucked away amidst the lush green surroundings and majestic mountains, this destination features magical 800-year-old cedar, spruce, and Douglas fir trees. The mountain wedding venue’s professional event Coordinator and culinary teams are dedicated to providing impeccable service for each couple’s once-in-a-lifetime event. Weddings at Island Lake lodge are held from mid-June to mid September. Our current package is for minimum 60 - maximum 100 guests.
Facilities and Capacity:
Featuring stunning views of the surrounding Elk Valley, this venue offers romantic and memorable indoor and outdoor event spaces where couples can host their nuptials. The gorgeous 'I Dew Point', framed by the huge Lizard Range, serves as the ideal place for your I Dos. The Tamarack Lodge, boasts sweeping views of the Lizard Mountains and can accommodate up to 100 guests total. The smaller Bear Bistro Dining Room features a large patio and can seat around 54 guests.

The experienced and knowledgeable wedding coordinator at Island Lake Lodge can take care of each and every detail so that you can relax and enjoy your special day. Similarly, the catering team at the venue will work with you to determine your ideal wedding menu for the reception. Fresh, local ingredients are used to prepare each dish and are sure to leave a lasting impression on your guests. Our wedding packages offer an all-inclusive 2 night stay set amongst our unique back woods setting where your guests will get a true taste of all our lodge has to offer.
Accommodation:
You and your guests stay in any of the three lodges that feature 26 rooms and can sleep up to 72 guests. The Red Eagle Lodge features panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and lake. With 10 guest rooms available, it also has spacious living rooms on both the upper and main floors. The Cedar Lodge features comfortable rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Rooms are equipped with amenities such as soaker tubs, queen beds, and a private deck off each room. This lodge is also furnished with a cedar sauna where guests can relax after festivities. With eight deluxe guest rooms, the Tamarack Lodge offers magical views of the rugged landscape.
