Selecting a wedding venue is one of the first (and biggest) decisions you'll make as an engaged couple — your choice will influence your vendors, budget, décor, and even attire. Clarion Hotel has everything you could want in a wedding venue, it's newly renovated top to bottom both the conference centre and hotel. They have a neutral elegant modern colour scheme, huge dance floor, amazing gourmet dining provided by their Executive Chef and renowned culinary team's custom themed menus, accommodating all sorts of dietary requirements and exceptional service. They offer wedding packages or you are welcome to provide outside vendors. Please note: Clarion Hotel must be the sole supplier of all food & beverage items, with the exception of special occasion cake or cupcakes. Their friendly and professional staff will do everything they can to make your big day memorable!

Facilities and capacity

Clarion Hotel & Conference Centre offers a indoor wedding ceremony space (up to 150 capacity) and reception space that accommodates from 50 to 500 guests. The venue includes complimentary wifi and ample parking. On request, Clarion Hotel offers special room rates for your out of town guests (or guests who may not want to worry about driving home after the reception). Additionally the wedding couple are gifted a complimentary nights stay in one of the newly renovated Jacuzzi Suites. Save on transportation costs and book with Clarion Hotel & Conference Centre.

The Most Perfect Venue

We wanted to say a huge thank you for making our wedding day so wonderful. Everything was perfect and totally exceeded our expectations. So many of our guests raved about the food and our photographer told us that is was the best food she'd ever had at a wedding! We have to agree that it was all so beautifully presented and delicious.

Working with Katie was a dream and we felt that everything we asked for was perfectly executed. We also want to say a special thank you to Maria, the server at the head table who went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of. She made us feel so special! We would highly recommend the Clarion as a venue to anyone looking for a seamless wedding day 🙂 We hope someone we know gets married there so that we get to experience the amazing venue (and food) all over again.

Decent Package, terrible management

We had our wedding at the Clarion. The packages they offered were good and inclusive. What we did not enjoy was the management from staff of the event. The event coordinator here works with every wedding and you cannot work with anyone else and unfortunately they are just not good at this type of job in my opinion. I work in an office and I am very organized; I constantly had to remind the coordinator about conversations we had had and things they had promised. Right from the get go they let our preferred date go to another couple WHILE we were looking at the space. We chose a different date and they had offered us a getting ready room for
The mistake. The “getting ready area” was an empty room with a few chairs and it was not secure - we were in the middle of changing when staff members were randomly walking through the room. The cake was delivered and they had no idea where to put it because the coordinator didn’t tell anyone.
The bartender was EXTREMELY rude and the worst part of the night. We had prepaid for drinks to have a toonie bar and there was a mix up on whether people could pay debit and she was overcharging our guests; when confronted with the mistake she was extremely rude and angry and worked with a pouty look on her face the entire night. At the end of the night my dad asked for corks for the wine (something we had asked the coordinator to communicate to bar staff ahead of time that we wanted to take home any unused wine) and the bartender came up to me and accused my dad of trying to steal wine. I told her he paid for the entire wedding on his card and I was sorry the coordinator didn’t inform her of our plans like I asked her to.
What I did like: the package included decor and everything was in a one stop shop. Given the chance again however I would never ever have my wedding here. The staff are completely incompetent and i spent the entire day trying to micro manage the wedding because the venue’s coordinator wasn’t doing her job.

Amazing Wedding Venue

Katie and the team are extraordinary. We got to work with Katie throughout our engagement to plan the perfect wedding for us. She has been incredibly kind, easy to work with, and super accommodating with all our preferences. All of our guests were blown away by the buffet that was served for dinner and still talk about it to this day! We could not have chosen a better venue and venue package for our big day.

Ryan is the best - Hotel very accomodating

Me and my now husband booked to have our wedding at the conference centre in March of 2020 when it was the Quality Hotel still, and suddenly 5 days before the event, everything was shut down due to COVID. The hotel was very understanding and moved our date for us many many times up until 2 years later when we were finally able to have the wedding we had originally planned. We went through several wedding coordinators in that time but all were professional and communicative throughout the process. The setup process with our vendors the day before and day of went very smoothly and we never had an issue with anybody getting what they needed. I need to give SERIOUS props to Ryan who was absolutely amazing the day/evening of our wedding and checked in with us every now and then to make sure all was well, and introduced me to my new favourite bar drink. I recommend this hotel for anybody wanting a beautiful indoor space for their wedding, with added convenience of hotel rooms being easily accessible.

Best Decision Made for the wedding!

I would highly recommend the Quality Hotel to any couple looking for a venue that has character (vintage vibe with the chandeliers, but modern with the clean lines and a blank canvas for your décor). This venue stood out to us amongst many others because of its beautiful high-ceilinged rooms and large wall of windows. The natural light coming into the venue on your special day and views were priceless, and we could not find them anywhere else. Ri-An and Carole at the Hotel were awesome coordinators to work with. They made our special day come together with the menu we wanted and working with us with some challenging points we need to work through for planning the day. It all came together with a fantastic and memorable experience on the day. The room was completely set up and laid out with the tables and chairs the day before allowing us to decorate as we wanted. On the wedding day staff were around to make sure everything was taken care of for changing over from our ceremony space to our reception space. The buffet food was set up smoothly and wow! I have had every guest (and ourselves included) rave about the food we received that night. Absolutely delicious menu items, and plentiful! For dessert at the hotel I would HIGHLY recommend the dessert bar that they offer, I think it was one of the biggest hits besides our vows to the guests lol. There were such an assortment of cakes, pies, cheesecakes and tarts everyone went crazy for!

If you are looking for a venue that will hold the 200+ guest mark I would highly recommend the Quality Hotel, it stands out against a lot of other banquet halls and you are getting great value, experience and service for your money spent.

Staff Went Above and Beyond for Powerless Ice Storm Wedding

My now wife and I had our wedding reception at the Quality Hotel this past December during a crazy ice storm. Prior to the day, Malissa had made the whole process very easy and it was nice to make decisions and pass off all the details to her and her crew. The day arrived and we got a phone call 2 hours before the reception to inform us the power was out and ask if we were still going ahead with it. After saying we were still coming, we arrived there to discover Malissa and her crew had gone above and beyond, setting up strings of battery powered lights and candles all over the place. What resulted was an intimate and very memorable candlelit reception that everyone really enjoyed! Thanks Malissa and company for all your hard work and for adjusting on the fly with us during a crazy day!! Despite the lack of power, the reception went smooth as can be and both we and our guests really enjoyed the evening!

The perfect venue for a beautiful, elegant and professional atmosphere. Our wedding was absolutely flawless. Emails were quickly replied to. Meetings were organized, professional and thoughtful. Our vendors including the florist, decorator, cake and DJ were allowed to come the morning of to set up and prepare. Staff were polite, hard working and offered quality service. The food is absolutely outstanding. It is very true that guests remember what they were served for dinner-this is the place to choose if looking for fantastic choices & flavours. It is a Brides dream venue. At the end of the night you feel so thankful and happy. Malissa who is the Catering Coordinator took such good care our bridal party and guests-I could not thank her enough. Highly recommend!

July wedding

We had an amazing ceremony and reception at the Clarion. Katie was there to answer all our questions throughout the planning process. The wedding package (dj, decor, catering, bartending, event coordinator) made life easier as everyone has done weddings before and have worked together. This made the day run smoothly and made planning less stressful. The food was also amazing! Lots of our guests complimented the food and went for second helpings! Thank you for everything Clarion team.

Our dream wedding reception!

We had our wedding reception at the Clarion in September and I have nothing but amazing things to say. Katie was so awesome to work with, she was quick to respond to emails, friendly, professional and really went above and beyond for us. She helped our reception go off without a hitch and we are so thankful! Our guests loved how we had coffee and desserts served all night, and dinner was phenomenal. One of the many reasons we chose this venue in the first place was the big Oak dance floor! We had 193 guests at our wedding and this venue was perfect. We used simple glass votives with candles for our centrepieces, and waterfall lights for our backdrop and it really helped this large area seem very cozy and romantic.
