We stayed here on our wedding night! When we checked in around 4pm, they upgraded our room for no extra cost! Very nice hotel with comfy beds and a fun casino!

We used the hotel for our guests and everyone was happy with their room in both size cleanliness and service. The pool was great and everything you needed was on site. The hotel was able to give out our thank you bags to every guest checking in. The exclusive lounge was amazing when it came for a place for the groomsmen to hangout before getting ready. Quality coffee great food and snacks at all times. 100% impressed with the hotel and we will be back to celebrate anniversary’s

Absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! Gill Vallee, General Manager, Judy Ulmer, Catering Manager, Randy Martinez, Banquet Manager and the rest of the Cambridge team did an amazing job catering my wedding in July 2021. Every aspect of their work from set up to service to food was fantastic! I was told by every guest I spoke to (even the pickiest of our family members) that they thought the meal was the best wedding food they had ever had! I would 100% recommend them to anyone who is looking to host an event or wedding! I can’t thank them enough for making what is usually one of the most stressful parts of an event flawless! My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a better team on our big day!

It was so nice to have everything taken care of for us. Decor, bar, meal, snacks, a place to get ready and crash when it’s all done. The staff treated us like royalty. Great experience and our guests loved the food!

The staff were accomodating. The room was beautiful and fully equipped. And breakfast and service was fantastic!

Unfortunately this venue is not what it used to be. During my wedding planning I had 5 different people helping me one after another as the employee turn around for this venture is insane. The last planner I had (Shanelle) was great. Every other planner had no idea what they were doing.
So many things went wrong at my actual wedding and these were things that were in my contract. But they were given a "different and older" contract THE NIGHT of my wedding. They offer you a complimentary room the night of your wedding, I did not notice till the next morning but the shower had a giant hair ball on the wall! When I expressed my disappointment in the planning and execution of my event they offered us a $75 gift card to the restaurant. When I spoke to a manager about my concerns and how I expected them to make to right she told me that they had already given me $100 off my ballroom (which I did not know and was quoted the exact price I paid), and we got a free night stay in an expensive room, (which they actually tried to charge my husbands credit card for because the front desk people said we had to pay for 1 nights stay). I forwarded the photo of the hair ball to them and they said they would let housekeeping know. After all this, I reached out to the General Manager of the hotel, I waited for a response for over 1 month and heard nothing. I sent an email and left a voicemail. So disappointed in my wedding reception and I wish I had never given my money to this venue.

The Cambridge Hotel Red Deer provided the most luxurious and elegant banquet place, which increased every moment more memorable and unforgettable.
The wedding consultant, Christie, did the greatest job that she helped me from the beginning to the end. All I did was to tell her what I want to have on my wedding and she actually made all happened! Also, Every time she told me was "Do Not Get Stressed, I Got You Everything You Need!" She is the greatest asset at the Cambridge.
The food was amazing. All of my guests at the end told me that they will definitely drive to Red Deer for the food only. They haven't tried the food like this in Alberta. Kudos for the executive chef at the Cambridge!
All of the banquet servers and staffs were very professional. Whenever or whatever we needed help, they were there for us.
Our Wedding at the Cambridge was more than a 6 star service and I do recommend the Cambridge Hotel Red Deer to people planning their weddings! Come to Red Deer!

The venue itself is beautiful, Family has been to some very well done galas here. But I would be wary if you aren’t using a wedding planner. The communication with the hotel was lacking at best and from the impression I was given after booking with them is that now that It was booked and they had our money I was the last on their list. Due to a family reason we had to change everything in our wedding to an immediate date and smaller size as it was difficult for guests out of town to get here with less than 2 months warning. While the coordinator seemed emphatic to our situation she explained that regardless of her feelings the hotel now being owned by a different group have stricken all rules on cancellations (which by the way, read your contract carefully because unlike other venues/vendors they have cancellation fees that are very large effective from the day you sign) and she was unable to assist with any credit unless we had the same size of wedding which was impossible for us due to the time constraints. We did understand them unable to credit anything as it is a contract. What I did not understand was the hotel charging our credit card the fee to cancel without even a call to advise it was happening or the amount before the charge was made. We only received an email after the charge was processed advising a receipt will be on the way which never arrived weeks after this email was received. Again, the impression with this is that we paid them and they were done with us so the service stopped there. not only that, my fiancé did send an email to management explaining that he was frustrated with the unauthorized charge and lack of communication. That email was again not answered, and no response even by phone was ever received from management as well. I will leave you to make your own decisions. But if I was to do this all again, I would make the decision to get a planner that will be able to get some respect/ communication from the venue management or not book the venue at all.

The current caterer consultant made changes to our initial BEO without consulting with us. We accidentally found the evening before because we were meeting a third party at the venue. We dealt with 3 different caterer Consultants. Not sure how long the current caterer consultant has been in that Industry but, she seemed very novice and just seemed not to care much.
