Royal Hotel offers two exclusive event spaces for your wedding celebration. Plus, the venue features a backdrop fitting for a picture-perfect wedding. The event spaces include the following:

• Wellington 64: This spacious banquet site was previously the legendary Royal Hotel Pub. The Wellington 64 features 1,200 square feet of event space with a stage and hardwood flooring. This space can host a reception of 85 guests.
• Homestead Room: Host an intimate wedding of 40 guests in the elegant Homestead Room. This room reflects the vintage charm of the hotel. The 500-square foot event space boasts historic photographs, antique furnishings, hardwood floors, and a large stone fireplace.

History

In 1908, local hotelier D.S. Dundas established the Royal Hotel. Its success in the following years helped increase Fraser Valley’s economic growth. Vancouverite Cyrus W. McGillvray bought the hotel and later sold it to the Berry family. In 1950, Buck Berry occupied the old Royal Bank building next door and added it to the Royal Hotel, which was then turned into a new hotel tavern.

Royal Hotel is located in downtown Chilliwack, 30 minutes from the Sumas, WA border crossing, 1.5 hours from Vancouver International Airport and 3 hours from Sea-Tac International. Abbotsford International Airport is approximately 32 minutes away from the venue.
