Having our wedding at Sherwood Inn was a dream come true. We planned a small 6 person ceremony and dinner within a couple of months due to covid and it was wonderful! The venue in itself is gorgeous with many ceremony locations to choose from, both indoor and outdoor (and options to relocate in case of poor weather). We had our ceremony on the point amongst the trees, our first dance on the dock, dinner in the private dining room and wedding cake in the Boathouse. We were able to zoom our ceremony with people from all over the world without a glitch. The zoom recording is a unique memory we are happy to have.

Our Coordinator Christina was a key element to our day, from emails to in-person visits and the day of, she went above and beyond to help our vision become reality. Her customer service is outstanding, she is open to ideas and provides creative and logical suggestions. We had a stress free and relaxing wedding day because of her attention to detail and calming personality.

The accommodations were clean and comfortable. You cant beat the view from the Boathouse suite as your bridal suite and after wedding stay. All of the staff at Sherwood were friendly and welcoming. We couldn't have asked for better service. And, the food is AMAZING. Breakfast, lunch, dinner all was delicious. We can't wait to go back yearly to celebrate our anniversary!

We booked a micro-wedding at Sherwood Inn with a total of 10 people during the pandemic. The coordinator, Christina Van Kempen, was extremely responsive and answered all of my questions leading up to the day. On the day, she reassured me that she would take care of decorating the arbor and situating us for dinner indoors since we weren't sure about the weather for most of the day. The staff decorated our tables with such attention to detail, we were stunned when we walked into the dining room. We were surprised with strawberries and champagne when we went back to the Boathouse Suite and I feel like I made a friend in Christina : ) I had no idea what to expect in planning a micro-wedding but Christina took care of me through the whole day so that the groom and I could fully immerse ourselves in the fantastic day.

We cannot speak highly enough about Christina and the whole team at Sherwood Inn! We decided to book our wedding with them back in December 2018, long before our wedding day in October 2020. We wanted to get married someplace beautiful, with amazing food and a place for all our guests to stay. Sherwood Inn ticked all of our boxes! Everyone we interacted with in the almost two years from booking with them to getting married was kind, helpful, and excellent at their jobs. They are experienced with hosting weddings and really know how to pull it all together beautifully. The team at the Inn – and especially Christina Van Kempen, the events coordinator – really listened to what we wanted and worked hard to make it all happen.

Of course, COVID-19 had other ideas for 2020 brides and grooms, so we had to pivot our plans! Christina and Sherwood Inn were willing to work with us through all the uncertainty of the pandemic, responding to our questions promptly and being flexible as we went through our options – something we sincerely appreciated!! After a lot of careful thought, we decided to do a downsized, smaller wedding, and Sherwood Inn made that happen for us. While there were many things we couldn't do at our wedding due to restrictions, we never once felt like our wedding day was any less special. They were willing to adjust our payments to reflect changes in our wedding plans due to COVID-19, showing their compassion and understanding for the situation we'd all found ourselves in. The whole staff at Sherwood Inn treated us wonderfully, and our wedding day went very smoothly. Thanks to Christina, we didn't have to worry about a thing. Everything happened exactly as we'd hoped, and we had an incredible time there with our small number of guests. The Inn is absolutely beautiful, the food is delicious, and the staff is so helpful. We have heard so many rave reviews about Sherwood Inn and our wedding day from our guests. Getting married in 2020 was largely a stressful and anxiety-inducing experience, and Sherwood Inn did their very best to work with us and make our big day not only possible, but magical.

We are so glad that we decided, almost two years ago, to book Sherwood Inn as our wedding venue. Anyone getting married at Sherwood Inn and working with Christina Van Kempen will be in wonderful hands. Thank you Sherwood Inn!!

The Sherwood Inn was a great host for our winter wedding last weekend (January 14th). The staff was professional and a pleasure to work with and the food definitely exceeded expectations. The setting is beautiful on Lake Joseph and all of our guests were happy with the accommodations provided on-site.

This past September, we were lucky enough to spend the weekend of our wedding at the Sherwood Inn. Surrounded by our closest family members, it was one very magical weekend.

Christina, and the entire team at the Sherwood Inn, was just a dream to work with. With all that this year has brought, we had to pivot and change our initial wedding plans, like most couples! We ended up downsizing our wedding, moving from early summer to late summer, and hosted 20 of our closest family members. Despite all of the changes and uncertainties leading up, our wedding day ended up being absolutely perfect. We are so lucky to have been able to spend it at the Sherwood Inn, surrounded by such natural beauty. We had an intimate outdoor ceremony by the lake, and a beautiful and delicious alfresco dinner on the deck. Our families are still glowing and talking about how special of a weekend it was. We still can't believe that it was real - it was just so lovely!

We truly cannot express enough our gratitude to Christina. She helped us feel so at ease during this (at times, difficult) planning process. She is warm, kind, positive and hardworking, and truly a superstar. Anyone who is planning their wedding would be so lucky to work with her. The staff at the Sherwood Inn also made us and our guests feel welcome and very safe during this pandemic.

We are so happy that we chose the Sherwood Inn to host our wedding day. Although it was not what we had initially envisioned, it might have been even more special. Thank you again, Christina and Sherwood Inn, for a magical weekend that we will never forget!

Sherwood Inn was an absolutely incredible, magical and simply perfect venue for our wedding weekend.

My new husband and I are true lovers of the north and the beautiful Muskoka Lakes. It was our dream to celebrate our wedding in this beautiful setting and Sherwood in proved to be the most picturesque and perfect place to do just that.

From the very beginning Christina (Conference Services Manager), Roger (Manager of Operations) and the entire Sherwood team were incredibly friendly, organized and accommodating. The attention to detail was incredible and from very early on Christina made us feel like a priority, always returning email questions quickly and effectively. There was no question too small and across all of our meetings we felt very taken care of and confident that the weekend would be amazing.

On the weekend of the wedding Christina and her Team were onsite and prepared to facilitate and support. Things were set up on time and everything always felt clam and organized. On the wedding day they were even there as I took my first steps towards the isle with warm wishes which was further proof of the personal touches that were evident throughout the whole weekend.

Without question Sherwood Inn was our dream setting and we will alway feel connected to this beautiful place. We look forward to many weekend getaways here in the years to come.
