Located in Parksville, British Columbia, the Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Resort offers spectacular facilities for wedding celebrations of all sizes. This all-season destination resort is situated amongst 22 acres of forest on five kilometres of private beach with some of Canada's warmest waters. You can show your guests what makes the west coast so magical.
Facilities and Capacity
For ceremonies, the oceanfront gazebo is a site surrounded by magnificent gardens, tranquil ocean views, and rich green grass. It can seat up to 200 guests. Reception venues set a warm and joyous ambiance with a rustic fireplace, natural light, and earthy decorations. Each room can be changed to suit the decor and the preferences of the couple. There is also a covered garden patio that can seat 50 for a family-style long table dinner. Visitors may also enjoy amenities such as the Grotto Spa, pool, sauna, steam room, gym, bike rentals, kids club, on-site restaurant, and private beach.
Services Offered
Couples can take advantage of event services such as accommodations, catering, bartending, coordination with outside vendors, decor, setup, tear-down, lighting, and sound. Additionally, a skilled and upbeat wedding coordinator is dedicated to ensuring a smooth and stress-free planning process. Items and furniture included with the rental are chairs, tables, glassware, flatware, barware, china, linens, chair covers, audio equipment, and a dance floor.
Cuisine
Delectable catering options consist of a buffet, plated, cocktail reception, family-style platters, hors d'oeuvres, dessert, outside cake, and stations. Future newlyweds have the option for the bar service to be cash or open. Drinks tickets can also be provided.
Accommodation
This team is happy to offer discounted on-site accommodation to your guests for your wedding. You may take advantage of comfortable and relaxing resort accommodation options such as natural and rustic log cottages, spa bungalows, and oceanview rooms. All of these offer e easy access to the serene Rathtrevor beach. The staff is also pleased to welcome your pets year-round in the one and two-bedroom Rustic Cottages throughout the resort grounds and on the beach. Tigh-Na-Mara does not charge a resort fee, wifi fee, or parking fee. Also included with wedding service are:

Romantic Wedding on the Beach
My wife and I had our wedding at the Tigh-Na-Mara Resort in mid-May 2023 and the entire process was wonderful and consistently exceeded our expectations. We planned the entire wedding remotely from Edmonton, AB, and the communication from the resort during this process was extremely good.
The resort offers several wedding packages which we found reasonably price and included food, drinks, the fee for the Reception area, decorations and several other services. My primary contact during the planning was the resort Wedding and Event manager, Jackie Legzdins, who was fabulous at answering all of our questions and making accommodations to make our special day perfect. We were concerned that planning a wedding through email would be difficult but Jackie made the process simple. She was also very involved on the day of our wedding and helped make sure the set-up, Ceremony and Reception all ran smoothly.
The resort hosted an event called "Savour the Date" during the Winter before wedding season begins which offers couples an opportunity to sample the entire food menu, drinks and meet local wedding vendors. My wife and I were not able to attend but Jackie was wonderful about welcoming my parents to go in our absence and they had an excellent time. We were able to meet and hire an officiant and photographer during this event.
The Ceremony venue, the Oceanside Gazebo, was a stunning location with a gorgeous view of the ocean. The Reception took place in the conference centre in the Grand Moriarty room and the resort did an amazing job decorating and preparing the area before our guests arrived. Every resort employees who was involved in our wedding was extremely professional, kind and courteous. The bartenders, waiting team, kitchen staff and other employees were spectacular.
The food itself was of very high quality and the menu is expansive - I would encourage everyone who holds their wedding at Tigh-Na-Mara to attend the 'Savour the Date" event to pick their dinner entrees and canapes.
I would encourage anyone looking to have their wedding near the Ocean on Vancouver Island to strongly consider having their special day at this location, we were so amazed by the entire day.

Slam Dunk Wedding✅
4 nights in the Gabriola building and an amazing wedding weekend. The team at Tigh-Na-Mara were absolutely fantastic. Shane the events manager was there to guide us the entire day ensuring everything was perfect for our big day. The accommodation, value and venue itself were breathtaking, it was a true fairytale wedding. Our Boho theme went nicely with the decor, the gazebo location for the ceremony overlooking the ocean on a sunny day with a light breze and the Grand Moriarty with its twin river rock fireplaces for the reception both truly stunning. We could not have been more pleased. We felt like a king and queen for the day. 18 months of planning culminating into a single afternoon. We truly felt the staff were in it with us with high spirits and huge smiles. From the front desk staff, Chef, banquet team and Shane. All working together to make it just perfect for us. All the vendors we chose from the list provided by TNM were amazing and so friendly. Top notch service all around. Shout out to Kettle & Petal (Florists) "Karen", Sugar Fix Cakes (Baker) Cat Haggerty, Laurel Russell our marriage commissioner, Enhanced Beauty ( Rachel )

Dream Wedding Venue!
We just had our wedding this weekend and we couldn't be happier with Tigh Na Mara and their team!
When we booked we were dealing with Jackie and the next person had big shoes to fill when she left, but Shane was wonderful! So responsive and helpful, he even gave my mom a ride in one of their golf carts to grab something from her room on the other side of the resort while we were getting ready on the wedding morning.
Amol, the banquets captain for our wedding was checking in throughout the night and making sure everything was going smoothly. Everyone was so friendly and just wanted us to enjoy ourselves.
Our guests were raving about bartender Jesse, he was great and whipped up some tasty cocktails for us! We met him at the Savour the Date event the resort holds and he helped us figure out signature cocktails to go with our wedding colours.
The gazebo is such a stunning space, and the sun came out just in time for the ceremony!
We had our dinner reception under the covered patio off the Carmanah room and it was lovely, perfect setting for our group of 50 people.
The whole team was fantastic, you won't regret having your wedding here!

Summer Wedding @ Tigh-Na-Mara
We had an outdoor ceremony in July 2023. I can't say enough how great of an experience working with the staff was to plan, coordinate, and execute our wedding. Jackie the wedding and event manager has such a good understanding of event planning that everything went off seamlessly (at least to us!). The staff is friendly and accommodating, the food was the best I've eaten at any wedding, and setup/teardown was super simple thanks to the number of options Tigh-Na-Mara provides for providing base decor. Additionally there partnerships with vendors helped us a lot in finding music, makeup and more! They went the extra mile to help accomodate our dream wedding even with a bit of a larger headcount. 10/10

Perfect wedding experience
I had the most perfect wedding with Tigh-Na-Mara. The day could have not gone better. Everything was so smooth. Jackie knew exactly what she was doing and it calmed any nerves I had for any wedding mishaps. The food was amazing and the service was great. The views were amazing and gave me my ocean photos I needed. I highly recommend having your wedding here.

Amazing, magical seaside venue!
My husband and I had our wedding at Tigh-Na-Mara last week. While looking for the perfect venue to have our wedding, nowhere else came even remotely close to Tigh-Na-Mara in terms of professionalism, quality, location, atmosphere and so much more. It ticked all the boxes for us. However, our actual wedding could not have gone more perfect there. If there was a way to give 10 stars I would because this resort completely exceeded our expectations, creating the absolute perfect day for our wedding. We cannot wait till the next time we can come back to visit now that this place holds a special spot in our hearts. We are on cloud 9 and could not be happier with how everything went. From the weather to the location to the food, the staff, the rooms, the grotto.. everything was perfect. Thank you Tigh-Na-Mara for making our wedding perfect!

Absolutely amazing!
From the very start of the process with a tour of the venue, Jackie and her team at the resort were absolutely amazing. They are all such sweet people, very friendly and helpful too. We went with them for our ceremony and reception because everything was so simple, as they took on most of the planning. This was really the easiest and smartest choice we made for our wedding, especially as both of us hate planning and decisions.
Throughout the planning process, everyone was responsive and sweet, and we really enjoyed their "Savour the date" event.
Day of, everything was phenomenal, Jackie was so on top of everything and we enjoyed the day thoroughly.
Jackie and team, thank you for the fantastic day, we are so happy you made it all so easy to pull off, we will never be able to thank you all enough for everything. Thank you!!!

Lovely Experience
Jackie and the team at Tigh-na-mara were so fantastic to work with, we had the small wedding package and felt so spoiled. Everything was very organized, they made sure we had no worries and plenty of space without interruptions at the resort to fully enjoy our day. It was so simple to set everything up with the resort, Jackie made it very easy to make selections and have all of our bases covered without fuss. The rooms were also beautiful and the spa package made us feel truly fantastic the next day. Thank you!

Beautiful, organized, supportive and non stressful
My husband and I stayed at the resort for 1 week for our wedding on Aug 24th, 2023, along with our guests. It was spectacular and felt like a holiday abroad! The rooms were beautiful and spacious, we stayed all around the resort and enjoyed the ocean views as well as forested spa bungalows. The amenities as well as the activities for kiddos were amazing, everyone was busy including the teenagers, small kids, and adults. Jackie and the wedding team made getting married feel easy, and very accomodating. Jackie is with you every step of the way to ensure your big day is perfect! I really enjoyed the experience and felt grateful for the staff and all their hard work to make our big day feel so special!

Wedding of the Summer
Best day of my life! TNM was the most beautiful venue for our wedding. I couldn’t have asked for more. From the views, to the various accommodation choices, to the delicious foods. Everything was wonderful! Jackie and her team were phenomenal, from the time we booked our wedding to our post-wedding follow-up. She clearly loves her job, and does everything with enthusiasm, professionalism and timeliness. She was very flexible and open to ideas we had and was always willing to help make them happen. I felt supported, cared for and important as a customer. I felt like my wedding mattered, and that Jackie and the staff wanted it to be just as special as I did. I can’t say enough about how happy I was having my wedding at TNM!
