My wife and I had our wedding at the Tigh-Na-Mara Resort in mid-May 2023 and the entire process was wonderful and consistently exceeded our expectations. We planned the entire wedding remotely from Edmonton, AB, and the communication from the resort during this process was extremely good.
The resort offers several wedding packages which we found reasonably price and included food, drinks, the fee for the Reception area, decorations and several other services. My primary contact during the planning was the resort Wedding and Event manager, Jackie Legzdins, who was fabulous at answering all of our questions and making accommodations to make our special day perfect. We were concerned that planning a wedding through email would be difficult but Jackie made the process simple. She was also very involved on the day of our wedding and helped make sure the set-up, Ceremony and Reception all ran smoothly.
The resort hosted an event called "Savour the Date" during the Winter before wedding season begins which offers couples an opportunity to sample the entire food menu, drinks and meet local wedding vendors. My wife and I were not able to attend but Jackie was wonderful about welcoming my parents to go in our absence and they had an excellent time. We were able to meet and hire an officiant and photographer during this event.
The Ceremony venue, the Oceanside Gazebo, was a stunning location with a gorgeous view of the ocean. The Reception took place in the conference centre in the Grand Moriarty room and the resort did an amazing job decorating and preparing the area before our guests arrived. Every resort employees who was involved in our wedding was extremely professional, kind and courteous. The bartenders, waiting team, kitchen staff and other employees were spectacular.
The food itself was of very high quality and the menu is expansive - I would encourage everyone who holds their wedding at Tigh-Na-Mara to attend the 'Savour the Date" event to pick their dinner entrees and canapes.
I would encourage anyone looking to have their wedding near the Ocean on Vancouver Island to strongly consider having their special day at this location, we were so amazed by the entire day. -

4 nights in the Gabriola building and an amazing wedding weekend. The team at Tigh-Na-Mara were absolutely fantastic. Shane the events manager was there to guide us the entire day ensuring everything was perfect for our big day. The accommodation, value and venue itself were breathtaking, it was a true fairytale wedding. Our Boho theme went nicely with the decor, the gazebo location for the ceremony overlooking the ocean on a sunny day with a light breze and the Grand Moriarty with its twin river rock fireplaces for the reception both truly stunning. We could not have been more pleased. We felt like a king and queen for the day. 18 months of planning culminating into a single afternoon. We truly felt the staff were in it with us with high spirits and huge smiles. From the front desk staff, Chef, banquet team and Shane. All working together to make it just perfect for us. All the vendors we chose from the list provided by TNM were amazing and so friendly. Top notch service all around. Shout out to Kettle & Petal (Florists) "Karen", Sugar Fix Cakes (Baker) Cat Haggerty, Laurel Russell our marriage commissioner, Enhanced Beauty ( Rachel )
(Hair & Makeup). If you are planning or have already booked. Rest assured Tigh-na-mara is a no brainer. I'm sure many don't well. Tigh-na-mara does it Mint!

We just had our wedding this weekend and we couldn't be happier with Tigh Na Mara and their team!
When we booked we were dealing with Jackie and the next person had big shoes to fill when she left, but Shane was wonderful! So responsive and helpful, he even gave my mom a ride in one of their golf carts to grab something from her room on the other side of the resort while we were getting ready on the wedding morning.
Amol, the banquets captain for our wedding was checking in throughout the night and making sure everything was going smoothly. Everyone was so friendly and just wanted us to enjoy ourselves.
Our guests were raving about bartender Jesse, he was great and whipped up some tasty cocktails for us! We met him at the Savour the Date event the resort holds and he helped us figure out signature cocktails to go with our wedding colours.
The gazebo is such a stunning space, and the sun came out just in time for the ceremony!
We had our dinner reception under the covered patio off the Carmanah room and it was lovely, perfect setting for our group of 50 people.
The whole team was fantastic, you won't regret having your wedding here! -

Amazing Experince
The location is very accessible and convenient. Lots of parking spaces and accommodations are available too. Jackie, the manager, is very professional and accommodating. The whole team is attentive and nice. They will make your special day so wonderful. -

We had an outdoor ceremony in July 2023. I can't say enough how great of an experience working with the staff was to plan, coordinate, and execute our wedding. Jackie the wedding and event manager has such a good understanding of event planning that everything went off seamlessly (at least to us!). The staff is friendly and accommodating, the food was the best I've eaten at any wedding, and setup/teardown was super simple thanks to the number of options Tigh-Na-Mara provides for providing base decor. Additionally there partnerships with vendors helped us a lot in finding music, makeup and more! They went the extra mile to help accomodate our dream wedding even with a bit of a larger headcount. 10/10 -

October Wedding
We had the absolute best wedding ever at The Tigh Na Mara! It was made seamless and the support from Jackie and the crew was phenomenal. All our dreams came true on our special day. The food was amazing! We made a few requests of a turkey dinner and pumpkin pie tarts and it was done no questions asked. The bar staff were hilarious and personable. 10/10 recommend that everyone gets married here. -

I had the most perfect wedding with Tigh-Na-Mara. The day could have not gone better. Everything was so smooth. Jackie knew exactly what she was doing and it calmed any nerves I had for any wedding mishaps. The food was amazing and the service was great. The views were amazing and gave me my ocean photos I needed. I highly recommend having your wedding here. -

My husband and I had our wedding at Tigh-Na-Mara last week. While looking for the perfect venue to have our wedding, nowhere else came even remotely close to Tigh-Na-Mara in terms of professionalism, quality, location, atmosphere and so much more. It ticked all the boxes for us. However, our actual wedding could not have gone more perfect there. If there was a way to give 10 stars I would because this resort completely exceeded our expectations, creating the absolute perfect day for our wedding. We cannot wait till the next time we can come back to visit now that this place holds a special spot in our hearts. We are on cloud 9 and could not be happier with how everything went. From the weather to the location to the food, the staff, the rooms, the grotto.. everything was perfect. Thank you Tigh-Na-Mara for making our wedding perfect!
