The Union Bank Inn is a lovely boutique hotel formally known as the Union Bank of Canada. Located in downtown Edmonton in the business and arts district, this historical building is equipped with all modern and luxurious amenities. Be it a wedding, corporate meeting, or any other special celebration, the hotel has got it all covered. The Union Bank perfectly blends the old and the new together. The hotel is located just 30 minutes away from Edmonton International Airport. It is approximately nine km from Sherwood Park.
Facilities and capacity
The Union Bank Inn features three function spaces that include Madison's Grill, the Devonshire Room, and the Vintage Room. The private dining room is ideal for intimate celebrations while larger celebrations can take place in Madison's Grill or the Devonshire Room.

A signature collection of packages are available for clients to choose from. These packages can also be customized according to their taste and style. Set up and take down of the venue is taken care of by the staff itself. Some of the services offered by the business include:

Cuisine
Madison’s Grill is the hotel’s dining room that features delicious Canadian cuisines. All the meals such as breakfast, lunch, cocktail receptions, etc. are all catered by the business. Delectable entrees, salads, and desserts are offered by the business. Some of the mouth-watering dishes include steamed market vegetables, herb roasted chicken, cous cous pilaf, lemon meringue tart, and much more.
Accommodation
Lavish accommodation facilities are available for the guests here. The hotel has a total of 40 designer guest rooms and suites. Each room comes fully equipped with amenities such as fireplaces, fleece robes, in-room coffee, Bluetooth clock radios, Wi-Fi, and much more. There are two wings here, the Contemporary wing and the Heritage wing. The contemporary wing has 26 guest rooms while the heritage wing has 14 rooms.
History
While Edmonton was observing a huge growth, the branch manager of the Union Bank of Canada decided to build a new building to match the bank’s status. For this, Edmonton architect, Roland Lines was commissioned to do the work. The bank was then taken over by Royal Bank and was known to people as Northwest Trust Building for many years. It was opened as a hotel in 1997 when it was taken over by Diane Buchanan.
