Dream wedding!
My partner and I had our high tea wedding at the Windsor Arms in early August and we honestly could not be more happy with the entire planning process and event day. Our initial booking process was a bit rocky as it was with a different event coordinator but we were quickly paired up with Neah when she joined the team. Neah was superb. She was very prompt with all of our communications, never hesitated to answer my millions of questions, and made sure everything was done well and without worry. Even though we had a wedding planner, Neah was on the floor the day of the wedding with the Windsor Arms team to help ensure my wedding went off with a hitch. The event was executed so beautifully; the level of customer service and attention to detail by the entire team made booking with the Windsor Arms so worth it! I can't say enough good things about how happy I was with my choice to work with the Windsor Arms. Beautiful venue
It was so amazing picking Windsor arms as our venue!!! We went for a visit and fell with how beautiful it was and it was exactly what we envisioned our wedding to be. We went with the Windsor package and it included almost everything we need, we had cocktail hour in the beautiful lounge, and reception and ceremony in the main courtyard! We stayed at the suite at night and it was the most amazing room I stayed in!! I love the level of details and also thank you Frances and team for making this happen!!! The food was so amazing my guests were still messaging me about it even after the wedding❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Thank you again!!!It was so amazing picking Windsor arms as our venue!!! A fairytale
We had the most enchanting wedding at this stunning venue, where every detail met our expectations. The day was a fairytale, with the venue's beauty enhanced by soft lighting and exquisite decorations. Wentworth, our assigned service valet ensured we had a glass of champagne/old fashion in hand throughout the night, making sure we had an unforgettable time. Additionally, the complimentary cake provided during the rehearsal was a delightful surprise, adding to the overall experience.
Neah, the venue coordinator, seamlessly worked with our wedding planner from rehearsal to the big day. Her professionalism and attention to detail ensured everything ran smoothly.
On top of everything, the complimentary whiskey given to my husband on the wedding day was a thoughtful touch that he truly appreciated.
The collaborative efforts of all made our celebration perfect, and we couldn't be happier. We give them a resounding five-star review and would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a magical wedding experience. Fantastic Wedding Reception - September 2023
Amazing venue, great food (especially the cocktail hours), and phenomenal speed of service to our guests. We had our wedding reception this September 2023 (120 guests, 13 tables), and this was a top of the line experience. Neah and the events team really took care of us. An elegant venue with old glamour feel
It was a great and memorable experience to have our event held at The Windsor Arms Hotel. I was familiar with this historical gem, but reluctant to use it as a pre-wedding celebration venue. In searching - I had found some negative reviews which concerned me.... but decided to go ahead because I really liked the venue. Initailly - I dealt with Mike Friedman - who listened to, and tried to respond to the concerns I raised. He then passed me on to Neah Aarons, The event co-ordinator at the hotel... From beginning to end... the experience was an excellent one. Neah, responsive, professional, very understanding to what i was trying to accomplish, flexible when i made changes, even last minute ones...to ensure that we get the results we wanted. The food tasting was arranged, and it was amazingly great - still I was concerned how consistent it will be at the event. On the day of event - Neah was there -with a whole team of staff - Not a single glitch !!! The food was exceptional ( guests continue to comment on it ) the service was impeccable - truly staff that was considerate and quick ...the whole table being served at the same time - as opposed to single dishes coming out gradually... The place just exuded elegance, with all the things that would remind us of past glamour. In addition, throughout the process, Neah co-ordinated well with the event planner we appointed. I am a well travelled professional with particular taste, and generally demand all with excellence...difficult for me to give a "full score" to any service...but in this - it was well earned. The event was last week - and along with the usual 'congratulations' and 'lovely event ' comments one normally receives- i continue to hear from our friends and guests about the venue , the food, and the service. Amazing viewing experience
Neah was wonderful she replied to all our questions in a very professional, kind, responsive manner. The venue itself is stunning and they offer some great packages. Beautiful space, awful service
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Windsor Arms Hotel, we chose this venue because of the beautiful character of the space, it's luxurious details, and the overall ambiance. Little did we know that while our wedding was enchanting, the whole experience was marred by the awful service of their staff. The catering staff day-of were fine enough. However, the entire during of the planning leading up to the wedding day was filled with roadblocks and disagreements/miscommunications. They up-sold a lot of perks up front like saying that we would have access to two suites from the start of the wedding day for getting ready and storing our things, but later they said 'no we did not say that'. Our package included 7 hours of open bar time and we wanted to move it up by one hour, but they wouldn't let us so we ended up with just 6 hours of bar service. They promised the bar service would not be slow, but they only provided 1 bar tender for a 100+ person wedding. They said our guests could have 20% off room bookings, but later said this was only for the more expensive rooms not the basic rooms. Just one after another of misleading things that they promised us up front but never delivered, and when we raised these concerns the hotel manager was not accommodating whatsoever. They also treated our vendors poorly, when they got the wrong meals they said "this is what you get". Beautiful venue, excellent staff
We are so thrilled with our choice. Everything ran smoothly on the day. The Courtyard for the ceremony/reception and the Gatsby for cocktail hour/after party were a perfect fit for our event and made for beautiful backdrops for our photos. The food was a highlight, everything was delicious. On the business side, Luba and Mateus were great to work with, very attentive and organized. They were flexible when we were forced to change our date because of the pandemic. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Overall, a wonderful experience!We are so thrilled with our choice. Everything ran smoothly on the day. Incredible venue, delicious food, indispensable service
I'll be honest, I'm a cynical guy. I expected a lot of hard work, conflicts, and stress to come my way throughout the wedding planning process.
The exact opposite happened. My wedding experience, including the planning, turned out to be wonderful, in large part thanks to the Windsor Arms Hotel.
My wedding went off without a single hitch. The space is gorgeous, classy, and filled to the brim with luxury. We had a small wedding with only 30 guests but the normally 150-person capacity Courtyard Ballroom was arranged into a beautiful and intimate space. The customized menu was exquisite and the desserts divine. The staff was extremely courteous and accommodating. All our guests' needs were catered to. We very much appreciated having the Sultan Room for hair/makeup and the adjoining Sultan Suite for few moments of respite.
For me, the critical feature of our Windsor Arms Hotel wedding was our coordinator Mateus. He was clear, professional, and accommodating from our very first meeting through to the follow up emails weeks after our wedding, Mateus took care of every detail big or small. He arranged the space according to our needs, coordinated our menu with the chef, and even accommodated a last minute request to move a piano into the ballroom. Mateus helped us navigate the health guidelines for our wedding (Fall 2020) and helped us give our guests a safe and enjoyable experience. All this coordination and planning was done in a three week period. I'm still awestruck that we were able to pull off a wedding in downtown Toronto within such a short time frame and with so little stress. We couldn't have done it without Mateus. A Windsor Arms Hotel wedding is truly an all-inclusive experience. Mateus made sure of that.
