Canvas Montreal Reception Loft is a beautiful venue located in Montreal, Quebec. It is a short 10 minutes away from downtown Montreal and the West Island. Aiming to offer couples a different approach to wedding receptions, the loft provides a city environment that is both modern and vintage. It has been in business since 2004, while the building itself was built in 1929. From urban chic, to elegant vintage, Canvas is ready to host your wedding.
Facilities and Capacity
Our capacity is 100 guests. Newly renovated in 2015, this venue can provide every element and service needed for any wedding reception. Canvas Montreal Reception Loft is 3,000 square feet, providing a comfortable space for intimate events. This space features beautiful exposed brick and hardwood floors, allowing you to create an aesthetic blend of natural and industrial elements for your celebration. There is plenty of room to set up banquet-style dining and a dance floor for your evening’s entertainment.
Services offered
Ceremonies, bridal showers, engagement parties, and rehearsal dinners can all take place here. The dedicated staff can aid you in the setup and clean up of the reception, allowing you to fully enjoy your event. Couples can also ask about the following items and services:

A day we will always remember
We celebrated our wedding at Canvas Montreal, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the very beginning, the customer service was outstanding. The staff was incredibly responsive, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making our wedding day perfect. Mike (the owner) answered all our questions promptly and provided expert guidance throughout the planning process.
The flexibility was unmatched. Whether it was last-minute changes to the seating arrangements or special dietary requests, everything was handled with ease and professionalism. The willingness to adapt to our needs made the planning process stress-free and enjoyable. The event coordination was flawless. They demonstrated exceptional organizational skills, ensuring every detail was perfectly managed. From the setup to the execution of the event, the expertise was evident. We were able to relax and enjoy our special day, knowing everything was in capable hands.
The food was delicious! We had a great variety to choose from to please our guest. Lots of options for main dishes, hors d’oeuvre, and late-night snacks. The greatest thing is that nothing is mandatory, you pick your own options.
The staff were both professional and friendly. They were attentive to every guest's needs and made everyone feel welcome. The dedication to providing top-notch service was a key factor in making our wedding day so special.

Mike was very receptive to all our demands, everything was great and the food was AMAZING all our guests were more than satisfied!!!!!

Canvas is a beautiful space and their flexibility in terms of bringing in your own bar / catering / rentals / etc. was really important to us. We had some challenges with communication in the early stages with their management team, but eventually their communication greatly improved and overall we had a wonderful experience there.

Go to venue for life, amazing staff and service.
The crew at Canvas are true professionals. Not only were my husband and I incredibly happy with the amazing service, but our guests could not stop telling us how wonderful the venue, staff and service was themselves. As someone who used to work in the industry I cannot recommend them enough. Mike is helpful, attentive, responsive and generally just a great guy. He is an amazing organizer, flexible with time and just genuinely in it to make this the easiest process for everyone. They made our day, we'll never forget it.

Simply... Amazing!!
Very nice experience with Mike!! He was there to help, making sure we ate (LOL), listened to our needs and was making sure everything was going smoothly, I definetely recommend this venue!!! Very nice and cosy, all our guests LOVED it

Pefect venue for our wedding reception
My spouse and I held our wedding reception at Canvas and we could not be any happier with everything from the initial contact with Steven through the event so well managed by Mike. The food was excellent and drew praise from all guests as was the service by management and staff. They also provided suggestions for DJ and for flowers which turned out be excellent as well. Our reception was held with 100 people and this was perfect venue for this size. Being able to bring your own alcohol is also a real benefit as well. Sylvain and I again thank Canvas for making our wedding reception everything we wanted it to be - fun, well served, well fed and providing us with fond memories over the years of our life together!
