We cannot express how much we truly appreciate the work that Mortar + Brick put in to making our wedding event absolutely outstanding!
When I first reached out I thought it was a stretch that we would be able to have our little wedding in such a beautiful gallery and little piece of Lethbridge history. I was pleasantly surprised that our date was available and delighted that we would be the first wedding at the Lethbridge Mortar + Brick location! Cheryl was efficient and professional right from the start. She caught our vision before and completely exceeded our expectations. Courteny, carried us right through to the end, so patient while we made decisions and she kept us on track.
The organization, quality and variety of décor and communication were unlike any other venue I have ever hosted an event with. Working long distance between two galleries, with the assortment of decorations and flowers, Cheryl makes the process look effortless and unified. (Please know as effortless as it looked to someone looking in, we know it was a lot of work!) I must also note that the customization of the space is unlike most others. With moveable walls, we were able to design a space in three parts, the entry with a couch and coffee table for guests to be welcomed and sign our guestbook, a space for the ceremony and a third space for the dining area – without making the space as a whole feel closed off. It all flowed flawlessly together. Not to mention the historic exposed brick walls and stunning artwork.
Communicating with Mortar + Brick was flawless and very efficient. Rather than tying up the phone with calls each time a decision needed to be addressed, I could type out all my concerns, upload my vision board, add changes or make approvals all in one place with the Team Works online platform. It was very convenient for me and I’m certain reduced the number of calls or text messages that would have been jamming up the lines of communication. My messages were received by all staff logged into the program and someone would get back to me when they were available. Response times were unlike anything I have ever experienced and always before end of day (even if it was to let me know they are working on getting me an answer). I rank customer service very high on the scale for continuing and returning business, and the customer service we received was exceptional.
When we walked into the venue the evening before the wedding my breath was taken away. The gallery was stunning, everything just as we had dreamed it would be, maybe even better. The art, furnishings, the archway and dinning table – all perfectly us – soft blush and sage tones paired so well with the wood and industrial steel, you took our vision from dreams on paper and made it real. Every little detail was accounted for plus more, we appreciate so much that all of our wishes were acknowledged and respected.
The relationship between your gallery and our choice of caterer was professional and again seamless. (I also hear they are now the primary caterer!) There were limited logistics to be discussed because as professionals you each were able to arrange the details of the evening and as brides we are so grateful for the organization.
We want to thank you again for everything that you did for us. All of you. We are not blind to the amount of work that goes into planning and executing an event and the amount of organization and structure that’s required to have it run smoothly. We will forever remember our wedding as the best night of our lives, surrounded by our family and our new friends at Mortar + Brick.
