The Distillery Loft is a wedding venue located in Toronto, Ontario, and is a part of a larger group of venues owned by Distillery Events. This renovated event space offers contemporary design and decor with a vintage twist and is well suited for weddings and other special events. Whatever theme you want for your big day, it offers a lovely backdrop for your upcoming occasion.

Facilities and Capacity

The facilities found at The Distillery Loft include an event space that can easily accommodate up to 100 guests for plated dinners, 110 for stations, and 120 guests for a cocktail reception. This space can be found above the Tank House Lane, a historic location. The room is long, which allows it to be configured into a number of layouts. It has a rustic ambience with wood beams and twinkling lights. It can be set up to suit both ceremonies and receptions, allowing couples to host their celebrations in one place.

The experienced Distillery Restaurant Corp catering staff are also present to ensure top-notch customer care.

Cuisine

This venue provides a superb menu package for your reception. Their full-catering options make planning your special day's dining experience straightforward. Cuisine options include hors d'oeuvres, platters, food stations, late-night additions, dessert stations, and a la carte menu options. The talented culinary team enjoys tailoring the event’s menu to fit your needs. Couples can choose to have an already existing menu altered or have a new selection of dishes put together.

Beautiful and fun!

We had an incredible time for our wedding! We did our ceremony elsewhere, then did some photos in the Distillery District. We had our cocktail hour outside, then a seated dinner for around 85 people. The food and drinks were delicious (we got many complements!), and the venue was gorgeous, we did not have to add much decor. The alcove was a perfect spot for our first dance, and the dance floor was hopping all night.
The staff were all so lovely and friendly leading up to the event and the day of. Many aspects of the night were customizable and we really made it our own. The lead staff always checked in with us and made sure we had everything we needed and we were having a great time. Also, as a queer couple, this venue was inclusive to us and we never felt out of place - no gendered language or signage!

Magical Venue

Working with the team at The Loft was effortless. The service was incredible, the food was amazing. They made such a big and important event come together so smoothly. They were so helpful, so accomodating, and everything from the decor to food was of superior quality. I enjoyed my experience working with The Loft and my venue was stunning. There is no where else I would have wanted it to be, it was absolutely magical. Of all the compliments I received about my wedding, it was the food they everyone kept talking about. I am so grateful to the coordinator, the staff, and everyone who worked so hard to make my wedding reception everything I dreamed of. There was no stress, no complications, delicious food, enchanting atmosphere, and the staff are such lovely people. I honestly could not have asked for more. Thank you all!

A dream of a day

We chose the Loft as we wanted a venue that had more natural beauty vs one that we could decorate to the 9s. Our preference was to spend more on food than decor (cause really who doesn't like food) and besides flowers, nothing really needed to be done to enhance the place. Everyone (and I mean everyone of the 76 people) had a fantastic night full of superb food, and excellent service. My coworker who attended left with a recipe for the meal she had written on a napkin. 0

Rebecca was the coordinator for organizing everything and helping us choose our food as well as designing our menu and made everything fun.

The venue is pricy, but if you factor in location, actual quality of food and service (which to me is a must if you're forking out thousands), natural beauty and layout, it really isn't so bad. Instead of spending thousands on a decorator, spend a little more on the food and venue it self and you won't regret it!

Very Disappointed on the Day

I was SO disappointed by the Distillery service on my wedding day. We had a decent time during the planning phase (they spelled my name wrong on the menu at our tasting though - maybe I should have taken that as a sign!). On the wedding day, there was a huge delay in food service after the cocktail hour. They brought everyone in to be seated for dinner (I have no idea why they did that if they weren't ready), and then all of our guests sat for OVER AN HOUR waiting for food. We didn't even have bread on the tables. I was mortified! I kept walking around to assure the guests that food was coming (not at all how I'd hoped to spend the evening). When the food finally arrived, it looked NOTHING like it had during the tasting. For example, my vegetable curry was mostly rice (at the tasting, there was so much delicious curry that the rice wasn't even visible), and the papadum (which was beautifully folded and presented at the tasting meal), was just a flat disc (and the server dropped mine on the floor!).
I had also specifically requested that shots not be served (for various reasons), but the bartenders served them anyway.
When we discussed our issues with the manager afterward, and although she admitted it was their fault and apologized, she said that since we had already paid they could not (or would not) provide us with any amount of refund.
When you book a wedding in the Distillery, you are paying a premium for venue/location and high-quality food/service. When 50% of those things go wrong, it's impossible to leave a high recommendation.

The Loft was perfect for our wedding!

Everyone at distillery events were a pleasure to work with. I am so so happy we chose the Loft for our wedding celebration. It was everything we wanted: great mood, intimate, romantic setting, rustic, amazing food and great photo opportunities!

Best venue!
The coordinators are amazing, the food was incredible, the servers are top notch! I would have a party here every year if I could.
Everything was done so nicely and they really go all out for you.
