This beautiful space has been operating for more than thirty years and is also available for public access. This stunning homestead has been acknowledged as a historic building on a lovely plaque that guests can see at the side entrance, close to the parking lot.

Facilities and capacity

Applewood / The Shaver House is a lovely venue for intimate celebrations with a 19th century style. Most wedding ceremonies and receptions happen in the gorgeous dining/morning room which has a capacity for up to thirty guests. Groups of fifteen family and friends or less have the option of having the ceremony taking place in the Victorian parlour.

Services offered

Their services include the provision of ministers of various denominations to perform the ceremony. Although these ministers are clergy, they are also able to officiate for non-religious nuptials. The service will be officiated following the Province of Ontario Marriage Act.
