Umesh was born in Delhi, India. He was inspired by his late
mom’s cooking at an early age and kept his passion of cooking
alive by continuously learning about food and cooking. After a
successful culinary career both in India and the United States,
Umesh and his family immigrated to Canada in 2012.

Umesh comes to us with more than 17 years of culinary
experience in workplaces spanning many industries,
including hotels, cruise ships, golf clubs and restaurants. Prior
to joining Ladies’, he was the Executive Chef at Jazz Bistro, a
fine dining restaurant in downtown Toronto, and prior to that
honed his skills in the club industry at Scarboro Golf and
Country Club as the Executive Sous Chef.

At Ladies’ Golf Club of Toronto, Chef Umesh implemented the
farm to table style of cooking and uses produce from Ladies’
own herb & vegetable garden in his dishes. His focus is on
creating healthy dishes, that are both thoughtful and
perfectly executed with great attention to detail. As a result,
every dish served from Ladies’ is carefully crafted to emphasize
its unique textures and flavours!

Here at Ladies’ Golf Club of Toronto we focus on providing
our members and guests with locally grown Ontario
products. Every dish served in the Clubhouse is carefully
researched and contains the purest ingredients. This high
standard is the reason Chef Umesh and his team grow
their own herbs, fruits and vegetables. We also harvest our
own honey! We have a collection of busy bee’s working in
our beehives that provides sweetness to our menus with
raw honey and honeycomb.

Our catering team is highly trained and ready to meet all
of your event requirements and answer any questions you
