This hotel was built all the way back in 1909 and was originally the Canadian Birkbeck Investment and Savings Company. Facilities and capacity
This former financial building contains a range of gorgeous facilities for ceremonies, receptions and rehearsal dinners. The Gallery was originally designed as dramatic banking hall and still retains its sophisticated ambiance. It is a fantastic space for a reception and has a capacity of up to 160 guests, although the hotel recommends up to 80 people for a sit down dinner.
In addition, there is the Birkbeck Room which features extraordinary oak trimmed windows which fill up the light-filled space. The beautiful room also contains a dedicated foyer and cloakroom and is a wonderful option for a ceremony or cocktail reception. It can host up to 80 individuals.
The Oval Boardroom is a oak-panelled room with a unique design. This area is a stellar option for small and intimate celebrations of up to twelve seated family and friends. Loved ones can sit in comfort and style around an elegant oak table.
