Facilities and Capacity
Owing to the wide variety of function areas at Asessippi Ski Area and Resort. Several sites are available for that milestone “I do” moment. The Vine Chapel provides bench-style seating for invitees to gather as the magical ceremony occurs. Here, couples can stand together in front of a timber feature wall as trees flank all around. As the day progresses, the wedding party can make their way to celebrate the reception. Multiple options are available, so the newlyweds can choose the one that best matches their distinctive vision.
A couple of Sugar Shacks can either be used individually or together for the reception festivities. When combined, they boast a total capacity of approximately 200 people. Tented celebrations are also welcome at this venue, and these installations can be erected to provide generous views of the valley and surrounding scenery. Another option is the Star Dust, an outdoor venue, wrapped in drapery and twinkle lights, featuring an outdoor dancefloor.
Services Offered
An event planning service is available for couples who require some counsel and guidance while designing their special occasion. Staff at Asessippi Ski Area and Resort can refer clients to a list of trusted vendors to add colour, personality, and character to the experience. Decorative event rentals are also available, including linens, florals, rose petals, lanterns, fairy lights, and more. To cap off a truly one-of-a-kind event, the couple of honour can indulge in a ski lift to take in the breathtaking views. Those who would like to stay overnight can use the comfortable onsite accommodations available.
Cuisine
The in-house chef at Asessippi Ski Area and Resort can treat couples to a tasting session to craft a menu that lives up to expectations. Each couple is invited to our annual Taste Test and Tablescape Day - where you will sample all our menu offering and meet with our decor team and create your space in person, We also enusre you and all your guests can celebrate endlessly, by including a late night shuttle servcie for them, and out team attending to all the set up, tear down and deocrating. High Hopes, Low Results
I would like to start with the pros: The area is absolutely gorgeous. The valley, vine chapel, and river area was what my fiancee and I were most hoping for for our wedding. It is very breathtaking in both the winter and the summer.
Now that I have addressed all that we have found enjoyable about our experience I would like to list the reasons for a low review:
The staff was poorly organized and non-responsive throughout the first few months. As an example I would list that we asked for her to inquire into drapery for the tent, which she agreed to do (as she had rented the tent for us, and we did not know the dimensions). After over a month without results, we were told to looking into it ourselves, which led to weeks before we could get the tent dimensions.
The conversations were also very persistent on options that would cost more money, and not cognizant of what we wanted. We were pushed to rent out fans and bug zappers for our outdoor wedding (despite saying no), told to expect a $400 fee for the dance floor (which was listed as included in the contract), as well as meeting a number of difficulties in trying to provide liquor ourselves (double charging bar services, adding in security costs, and a 40% corkage fee).
On the topic of cost, the staff took no opportunity to increase price for granted. Gratuity and tax were added to everything including items such as the dance floor, and items from other vendors (tent rental). We were also quoted $175 (plus gratuity and taxes) in costs to have a event permit for the park filled out, which upon research we found was a $50 dollar form that would take minutes to complete.
We had hopes that having one point of contact for rentals would relieve stress, but we found that even talking about planning the wedding was a chore. Safe to say our decision to move on from Asessippi has rekindled our excitement.

My passion is weddings! My entire career has been focused on event creation, 100's of events. Ranging from small intimate outdoor events to over 600 person 7 course meals. Creating a unique and one of a kind wedding venue has been a dream. Now we have one the Asessippi Vine Chapel.
Ashley is our team leader when it comes to all the details of your day. All set up, deocrating and detials are coordianted by her. She has been apart of our team for 5 years and is that beautiful smiling face you meet upon arrival.
Debbie has been apart of our wedding team since the beginning, Her attention to detail and very thoughtful personality are a strong compliment to our team.
