We had our wedding on labour day long weekend of 2024. The entire weekend was completely magical and we could not have asked for a better staff and family to work with.
We booked with Zak and family back in 2022, and they were available to answer any questions, allow site visits, and guide us through the process the entire time. We did not even need to book a wedding planner, as Zak and Alexa really supported us through the process. We highly recommend adding the extra coordinator amount, as Alexa, Zak and team were SO essential in getting everything set up and ready to go on all three days. The staff worked tirelessly to make sure everything looked incredible, and Alexa has a great eye for decor. Alexa and Zak went the extra mile to print our names on the mirror they had, and print out/pick up our wedding sign for us. Zak even helped make sure people were driven back to their hotels safely at the end of the night.
The guests had the best time, and we were gifted with the truly unique experience that our wedding was. It felt straight out of a fairytale. From our bridal party being able to swim and relax on the day of, to a party bonfire after reception dancing, it was truly an experience to remember. Our rehearsal dinner and brunch food were delicious and we are so glad we added that on!
We can't thank Camp Bellaleo enough for all that they did to make our dream wedding come true, and we feel like we have met wonderful people in the process. -

Where to start!
Camp Bellaleo and Nokomis Weddings made our wedding day so special. It will be remembered by us, our friends, and our families as one of the most inviting, warm and unique weddings.
The place:
Surrounded by greenery and backing on to the beautiful Lake Belwood, Camp Bellaleo is the perfect combination of a rustic, warm, and traditional summer camp with hints of Ontario beauty throughout. From the classic camp cabins and grounds to the charming dining hall and open green space, Bellaleo offers a gorgeous backdrop to any wedding. The sunsets on the west shore are truly something special!
The people:
From the very beginning, the staff at Camp Bellaleo made us feel immediately like part of their camp family. What Camp Bellaleo does for their community is inspiring and as someone who grew up very involved in summer camp, I can tell you this is a truly special place. Alexa and Zak pulled out all the stops to ensure we had an amazing day. Their dedication to our event made us feel like we were in good hands and if/when something went wrong, they were able to handle it with efficiency and grace.
Chef Phil was excellent to work with and made us and our guests several incredible meals for our rehearsal dinner and reception. We had several dietary restrictions that were accommodated with ease.
Jocelyn, our bartender, made sure our signature drink was top tier and made sure our guests were looked after.
If you are looking to have a nature-focused, camp inspired, one-of-a-kind wedding, I highly recommend Camp Bellaleo and Nokomis Weddings! -

We loved our wedding!
We had a dreamy wedding at Nokomis Camp. If you love outdoors and like rustic weddings this is the place to get married. We had about 100 guests at our wedding and about 40 guests sleep over in the cabins, my personal favourite part about this outdoor wedding venue! Many of the guests kept complimenting my husband and I on finding this wedding venue, asking how we found this place, and saying how they would have loved a wedding venue like this! Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we experienced some slow responses, however, Zak and his family are all very nice, friendly and flexible. -

Highly recommend!
I hosted my engagement party at Camp Bellaleo June 8th 2024, highly recommend!!! The staff were phenomenal. Zak, Vicki, Alexa, and Phil are all super friendly and attentive. Phil is an amazing chef. The food was delicious and he accommodated dietary restrictions. There’s plenty of activities to do on site including campfires, volleyball, soccer baseball, a low ropes course, archery, basketball, canoeing/kayaking, and more. They kindly helped set up the campfire for us and even opened up the pool at 8:15am for a polar dip. There’s also so many locations for wedding/engagement photos! Thank you for the memorable weekend. -

We are so glad we had our wedding at Camp Nokomis! The team is friendly, helpful, and laid back. They were flexible and open to all our ideas and plans for the space. There was tons of space for our very large tent, and for our guests to spend the weekend. The lake, firepits, and trees are gorgeous, and there is a ton of privacy as well. Our guests had a wonderful time, and we loved the venue immensely! -

We absolutely LOVED everything about getting married at camp — from playing soccer baseball and having a bonfire after our rehearsal dinner to a group swim in the lake on the wedding morning we were so happy to spend the entire weekend relaxing at camp with friends and family. Zak and the whole team at camp made sure everything ran smoothly from the moment we got there (and in all the planning before hand) so that we didn’t need to stress about any coordinating day of details. They were super helpful with vendor recommendations (all of which were fabulous) and were so responsive and professional. The food made by the camp chef (for rehearsal, wedding, and brunch) was delicious, the ceremony location with the arbour under the large tree felt like a fairytale, and any ideas we had for decor or activities the camp helped us run with. We had the dinner and dancing in a large tent right next to the ceremony and everything was the perfect combination we’d wanted of rustic, elegant and fun. There really was nothing lacking and we’re hoping for another family wedding, anniversary or reunion there another time :) -

Thank you Camp Nokomis!
We had the most beautiful, perfect day on September 4, 2022 getting married at Camp Nokomis. As a camp alumni, I could not imagine a more beautiful spot to celebrate one of our biggest life milestones! Zak, Alexa, Jay, Vicki, Noah, Phil, and the entire camp staff were incredible. They accommodated any request we had, and provided us with such a pleasant and pain-free experience when planning our wedding. Jay officiated the most beautiful ceremony that had everyone in tears, and it was so special getting to share the amazing camp site with all our beloved family and friends. We cannot thank you all enough for such a perfect day and weekend! -

Started as wedding planning- Left feeling like family
I would 100% recommend Camp Nokomis for any event. My husband and I recently had our weekend long wedding here and the staff was phenomenal. From the first day we drove out over a year ago to the second we left the property they treated us like we we're family. Jay the father was our officiant, he nailed making our ceremony personable as well as funny but romantic. Zak and Noah who are brothers were the extra hands we needed all weekend, providing assistance not just to us but our guests. Phil the cook did an excellent job encasing are laid back menu options but bringing them up a notch,going as far as helping guests who dislike a singular ingredient.
The ammentinies while I didn't get to use all were endless. The buildings from craft hall, to bunks are kept up to date as in no damage. Weatherization and small touches like mini fridges and electricity pump up your camp experience.
Then to add to it they are some of kindest humanitarian and animal lovers you'll meet.
We were sad to have the weekend end because the only complaint you'll have at Camp Nokomis is your stay is too short. -
