Ireland House Museum features the original Ireland family home, built in 1837 and maintained by the Ireland family until 1987, before becoming a museum located in Burlington, Ontario. This stunning four-acre property offers couples the opportunity to host their celebrations in a secluded oasis surrounded by nature's beauty. Couples have a variety of locations on the grounds to use as their romantic backdrop, from mature trees, to rustic buildings, to the front porch of the family home.

Facilities and Capacity

Ireland House Museum offers a remarkable outdoor gathering space where newlyweds can host their ceremony and reception. Events of up to 500 guests can be held at this estate. Your loved ones can be seated by the 200-year-old mulberry tree for a romantic service or overlooking the porch of the 19th century Georgian home or choose a magical ceremony with a small grove of towering walnut trees as the backdrop. Couples can also use the outdoor spaces to host celebratory receptions in the warmth of the sun. Before the big day, this venue also makes for a picturesque setting for photography sessions. Original out-buildings and classic wagon wheels are present on-site that can add a historical, rustic or architectural theme to your wedding album. Parking is also available on-site for up to 32 vehicles to ensure guests have a safe, short journey to the ceremony space. If you are hosting an evening function it must conclude and the property cleared no later than 10:30pm due to local noise bylaws

Not Included in Your Outdoor Grounds Rental · Tents, tables, chairs, linens, décor, tableware, etc. however, you can rent these items from an event rental service or through a caterer if using one · Food and beverages: you are permitted to hire a caterer or use a food supplier of your choice as we are not equipped to provide this service · If serving alcohol, you must apply for a Special Occasion Permit through the Alcohol Gaming Commission of Ontario.
