Kortright Event Space is a charming park wedding venue located in Vaughan, Ontario. Originally founded in 1979, this multifaceted event area boasts several spaces to host your celebration of romance and commitment. With indoor and outdoor options available, this property can do justice to a whole host of themes and concepts. Featuring woodlands all around, it has multiple places where couples and wedding guests can come together for a remarkable celebration.
Facilities and Capacity
Owing to the several hundred acres of woodlands that envelope the Kortright Event Space, this property is a secluded retreat. It is ideal for those who would like a private gathering of between 80 and 200 people. For the milestone ceremony, couples can join together with their invitees at Forest Path or the Cathedral of Trees. In front of a makeshift gazebo, the to-be-weds can make their union official as seated guests watch on either side of the natural aisle. Surrounded by nature, these eye-catching settings create peaceful and easy-going ambiences for the elevated occasion. Alternatively, if the weather is not on the party’s side, everyone can make use of the indoor Forest Gallery. Once the officiant has declared the happy couple as newlyweds, they can exit to enjoy some photo opportunities around the grounds.
The Main Hall boasts the largest capacity of all for the partying and festivities, so it can accommodate approximately 150 guests. The Forest Gallery allows up to 135 people to mix and mingle, and this event space is illuminated by natural and artificial light thanks to both large windows and skylights. The Glass House is perhaps the most striking of all, and it can host 120 people. It lets the outside in while retaining a rustic warmth throughout. A get-ready suite is also available on site.

Couples who book their wedding at Kortright Event Space can avail themselves of an event planning service. The staff are delighted to work alongside clients to meticulously organize each detail, and they enjoy ensuring that each celebration lives up to expectations. Couples are free to choose a package that best suits them. Event rentals can be provided, while setup and cleanup services are also included. What’s more, a variety of hand-picked vendors are welcome to come on-site to tailor the property accordingly.

Could not have asked for a better team
We recently held our wedding at Kortright and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. The professionalism displayed by the entire team was exceptional, ensuring that every detail was meticulously handled. The quality of service was outstanding, with staff going above and beyond to make our day special.
Communication throughout the planning process was seamless. The team was always available to answer our questions and provide guidance, making us feel supported every step of the way. On the day of the event, their ability to adapt in the moment was truly impressive. Any unexpected situations were handled with grace and efficiency, allowing us to enjoy our day without any worries. On our day, we had to adapt due to a rainy morning, and they were reassuring and were able to make my husband and I feel comfortable and execute our wedding perfectly.
Overall, we highly recommend the Kortright team, especially Kanak, for anyone looking for a venue that combines professionalism, top-notch service, excellent communication, and the flexibility to handle anything that comes their way. Our wedding day was perfect, thanks to their incredible efforts. Our guests still continue to discuss how amazing the lamb chops were and how wonderful of an evening it was.

Most amazing forest wedding!!
We couldn’t have asked for a better day to be married! We had the most amazing time and loved to share this day with our family and friends! The whole process with Kortright was very smooth and easy, Coordinator Kanak was absolutely amazing to work with, and also gave us many suggestions throughout the planning process. Absolutely a dream to work with her! ❤️

Thanksgiving Wedding
We worked with Jeffrey to plan our forest fairytale wedding and we were not disappointed at all! Jeffrey was able to make everything happen. The tables were even set up early so the venue space could be decorated way ahead of schedule and it just made for the most stress free wedding I could have ever imagined. All of our guests complimented how amazing everything was. It was truly a dream come true!

Thanksgiving Wedding
booked our ceremony over 2 years before our wedding, throughout the two years the original person we booked with changed and we never received communication about this until we reached out again. The ceremony component and planning were quite smooth, with paperwork and meetings. Rehearsal was also okay, too bad there is no evening lighting as it got dark at 630pm and was too dark to practice. The day of coordination was good, no hiccups or questions.

Amazing experience - August 2024 Wedding
Our wedding at Kortright was nothing short of perfection! From the moment we toured the beautiful outdoor grounds and indoor spaces, we knew it was the one. The venue is absolutely breathtaking, with stunning forest greenery, amazing balcony overlooking a valley, bright and cozy indoor reception area, classy ‘glass house’ outside, and a romantic atmosphere. It really set the perfect tone for our special day.
But what truly made our experience unforgettable was the amazing staff. They were attentive, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. While there were a few hiccups like ensuring a kids camp was out of the venue before the start of our wedding, almost everything came together without any snags.
A huge shoutout to our incredible event coordinator, Jeffrey Tsang. Jeffrey was great to work with—his attention to detail, creative ideas, and calm demeanour made the entire planning process stress-free. On the day of the wedding, he orchestrated everything, ensuring that we and our guests were well taken care of and all of our questions/concerns answered.
If you're looking for a venue with a magical outdoor feel and where you'll feel supported by an outstanding team, look no further. We can't recommend this place, the staff, and especially Jeffrey Tsang enough! Our wedding day wonderful, thanks to them.

Sept 2024 Wedding
Having a wedding among the trees is unique compared to the usual gardens and golf courses. The ceremony area and other facilities are beautiful, and there is plenty of forest around to get wedding photos.
The planning process was easy. The provided forms were clear about the available choices. The execution on the day of was professional. Even though some of the setup was different than we had asked, they immediately fixed it as soon as we brought it to their attention.
For the reception food, we got lots of great feedback all around. Since we had lots of Chinese people at the wedding, we chose the Chinese fusion menu. Kortright also did a great job at accommodating anyone with vegetarian diets.
Good venue. We hope to return one day as a guest.

11/10 amazing job!
When shopping for venues we fell in love with the charm of the kortright center so we came to see it in person. A lot of couples book their venue because it's the most beautiful or closest to their vision. We booked Kortright because we were handled professionally from the beginning, they have a responsive and well organized sales team which extends to their venue staff. Everyone we worked with from start to finish was great and took a lot of care and pride in helping us bring our vision to life. The food was amazing, the service was top tier, the communication through the whole process was smooth and prompt. I felt that the pricing was very reasonable for the quality of what we received and are so happy that we booked with Kortright. They made our wedding magical. Thank you to everyone over at Kortright. 11/10 I would recommend to anyone considering them. A very special thank you to Jeffrey who was our main point of contact and went above and beyond for us on our wedding day, we appreciate all your hard work!

Beautiful Venue in Late Spring
We had the perfect weather in late May, 23 degrees and sunny! The Cathedral of trees was very beautiful (We visited Coyote Alley for photos and there were actually a lot of mosquitos there so we are glad we did not hold the ceremony at that location). The cocktail hour we held in the glass house, and it was not too hot at 5pm.
We had our reception in the Forest Gallery and the light was beautiful during dinner. It is a bit of a long wide space, so a bit awkward for the table set up but I think our guests were more comfortable inside. The balcony was unfortunately off limits during our date (broken board of wood, safety issues) but it would be nice to have that space at night for guests to hang around.
The food was great, the staff was very friendly, and our coordinator Jeffrey was very kind and accommodating. Our only complaint was a miscommunication regarding a late night food station we asked for and announced to our guests, but since it wasnt listed in our BEO it was not prepared. *Check your BEO carefully!* But other than that we had an amazing day, and a large part due to the venue and the vibe. Having all the locations in one area is very convenient for the guests, and the ability to have an outdoor wedding with a rain plan is great.

Beautiful venue and accommodating staff!
We had our wedding at Kortright on October 21, 2023, and had an amazing, beautiful wedding that went above and beyond our expectations.
Our event manager, Kanak, went out of her way on several occasions to accommodate us and our ideas. We had non-standard requests for the dinner, beverages/cocktails, decor, and more, and the Kortright staff were able to help us plan and execute everything that we wanted. Everything went as planned on the wedding day, and a large part of that is thanks to the amazing Kortright staff.
The communication from the venue was good for the most part, though we had to contact them to arrange a menu tasting, and we found that email responses were a bit delayed near the start of our planning process. As our wedding day came closer, around the 3-4 month mark before the day, email responses became very prompt with staff offering to go on calls with us to figure out some of the more complex things that we were trying to plan.
The food and cocktails were delicious, and we are still getting praise from our guests about them!
The highlight is, of course, the venue itself. We used different locations for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, and all three were perfect! In late October, we had a backdrop of orange/yellow leaves falling behind us as we said our vows. Our cocktail hour was in the glass house, which had beautiful decor and some heaters to keep our guests warm in the chilly weather. Our reception was in the Forest Gallery, which was both charming and spacious, and was everything that we wanted.

Gorgeous Venue and Great Food!
We had our wedding here on September 30, 2023, and it was amazing! We had the best day ever, and are grateful to Kortright and Peter and Paul's for making our day so special. The pros definitely outweigh the cons. However, there were a lot of cons as well.
The pros: the food was INCREDIBLE and the portions were great - multiple courses, multiple proteins on one plate, etc. - everyone was thrilled; the venue is absolutely beautiful, large and rustic, and you get 3 venues in one, so it's an amazing value (one spot for the ceremony, one for the cocktail hour, and one for the reception) and has so many amazing photo spots; they upgraded us to the premium bar for free and also kept the bar open during dinner, which was great; they had a lot of people onsite to help with setup and teardown on our wedding day, which was really helpful.
Now, the cons: we had several different coordinators assigned to us over our 2 year engagement, as people kept leaving - when they did, often, information was not shared between them, so we had to redo things; our newest coordinator was super nice and helped out, but not very responsive; we found out about a few things at the last minute that caused us a lot of stress - that there was another ceremony in the same spot as ours, on the same day, so we couldn't set the space up until 2:30 pm and we had to be quiet while taking photos, and that due to National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, there would be orange shirts hung up all over the property, where we were taking photos; the space is open to the public until 4 pm, so there were tons of people watching us on our wedding day, even after it was supposed to be private (up until 6 pm); they also allow outside photo permits to be purchased, so we thought we would have access to the property solely for our photos, however we ran into multiple different brides and wedding parties on the property, and they were disruptive during our first look and ruined our experience in the spot we planned for, so we had to leave.
Overall, we had the wedding of our dreams, thanks to Kortright, and have no regrets. However, there were definitely issues that did not make our experience a smooth one.
