Location, location, location! When we started planning our wedding in January 2019, we knew location was of utmost importance- and Manning was right at the top of our list, as it’s somewhere we’ve been going annually for many years. Luckily for us the August long weekend opened up and we jumped on the opportunity. Manning is an absolutely perfect location for a wedding- it’s far enough away from Vancouver (2 hour drive) to still have a “destination feel” but not so far that it’s asking for a ton of effort and vacation time from your lower mainland guests. It’s absolutely beautiful in Manning, but many people have only ever driven through and never stayed, so it was great getting to share this magical place with our loved ones. One of the best things about this venue is that all your guests can stay right there on site- there are several different types of accommodations available at various price points, and throughout your weekend your guests can mingle and get to know one another. The Alpine Room where we held our reception is not fancy, but it has a warm interior that’s a mix of modern and rustic with lovely wooden beams, and you can turn the room into anything you want with decorations. We fit 132 guests in there. There is also a room above the main hall that is great for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready in and plenty of bathrooms, plus a huge covered patio for guests wanting fresh air. Having our reception by Lightning Lake was amazing- on the grass, by the lake, next to the mountains. It was a busy long weekend Saturday, and you could somewhat hear other visitors nearby, but nothing that interrupted our ceremony. In terms of working with Manning staff, Vern and Brent were responsive and helpful, and gave us a great recommendation for our DJ (Doug Jackson). Manning is a beautiful place to get hitched!

Manning Park did an amazing job of making our dream wedding come true. The staff did a great job of setting up the outdoor venue as well as the reception area, shuttling people and wedding party to the venues. The Alpine Room looked amazing and was roomy enough for 120 people, and the food was fantastic. The outdoor venue at Lightning Lakes ran incredibly smooth with a breathtaking backdrop to say I do, the weather cooperated as well! We made a weekend of our wedding and everyone could not stop talking about the cabins which offered a great stay to get away and unwind over the weekend, all for a very reasonable price.
If you couldn't tell, we highly recommend Manning Park Resort as a place to tie the knot!

Manning Park really went above and beyond! All the staff were so kind and excited of us, which kind of made them feel more like extended family. My husband and I got married here on May 21st, 2022. Brent was always super responsive to any questions, changes, or concerns during the planning process. They went above and beyond in both service during the wedding and the set up for the wedding. Food and Beverage (Shawn) had wonderful ideas that ended up make our special day even more perfect. Everyone was super helpful and organized. It is a stunning venue and I would recommend it to anyone.

We had an amazing wedding at Manning Park on August 17th, 2019. The park itself is absolutely beautiful. We had our ceremony at Lightning Lake and took our wedding pictures at the lake, the lookout and in the meadows. The backdrop is absolutely flawless so not much decor is required for the ceremony. The food was amazing and they were easily able to accommodate extra plates for vegans and vegetarians. The response time can take a day or two while planning the wedding but everything went off without a hitch in the end. I would 10/10 recommend Manning Park as your wedding venue. People are still talking about how great the food was and how beautiful the park is!

Everyone at Manning was amazing! Best of all...they were able to cater to mine and my guests food allergies. I’m a celiac. Many guest were lactose free and vegan and they fed us all well. The food was absolutely amazing!
The whole wedding came together without a hitch! Beautiful surrounding, amazingly accommodating staff, and reasonably priced. Best wedding we could of asked for!

Manning Park made our dreams come true. I can honestly say, they never said "No" to any request we made. We wanted a BBQ in the middle of winter, they provided the BBQ and firewood to ensure we enjoyed our pre-wedding celebration. It was almost blizzard like conditions at Lightning Lake the morning of the wedding (I'm sure I'm exaggerating), but they brought 110 chairs through the snow, covered them with plastic so they wouldn't be wet for our guests and allowed us to have our wedding winter wonderland! The Alpine room is a gorgeous expansion and the perfect venue to host a reception. The spruce room above with the grandeur staircase made for the perfect wedding party entrance to the reception! The staff were incredible and constantly checking on the wedding party to see if we needed anything else. The food is worth what you pay - all our guests were thrilled with the buffet and the assorted sliders and poutine bar at 10:00 pm kept our guests going all evening!

We genuinely can't say anything bad about Manning Park Resort. They will forever hold a special place in our hearts and we are forever grateful for their dedication to ensuring all our dreams were met!
