The story of our wedding

We got married on February 18, 2017 at Bellamere Winery. It was a beautiful, perfect day and everything we were hoping for. My husband is Irish and we are both very social so the whole day was very cantered around celebrating with our friends and family.

I always wanted a winter wedding so that I could wear my mom white gloves she wore to prom with my dad and Andy happily obliged. As it turns out, no one froze as it ended up being 15 degrees and sunshine that day.

I am not huge on flowers and wanted to keep my costs down so the bridesmaids carried faux fur muffs instead of bouquets and my bouquet was fake baby's breath I spray painted gold. We used a lot of candles in our decor including our centrepieces. We wanted vintage, rustic romance and bellamere felt like a ski lodge it was perfect.

My dress was lace so we encorporated lace by using lace overlays on the ivory table cloths. We decided to do a first look so that we would have more time with our guests after the wedding. It was one of the best decisions we made as we had almost an hour to mingle, drink and eat with our guests before introductions started.

Guests raved about the mashed potato bar...it was so yummy!!! We also had a go pro attached to a large beer mug that was passed around to our guests by our videographer.

Two of the best parts of the day was my daughter singing while we signed the marriage license, it was beautiful and very emotional for my husband and I. Then later during speeches I sang mine as I had re-written the words to Love Story by Taylor Swift (we have a unique story) it was a huge surprise to everyone including my husband and was a lot of fun. Dancing started by 7:30 which is exactly what we wanted and we partied the rest of the night away! Best day ever!
