The story of our wedding

Our wedding on June 28th was truly perfect. Our church and our priest were absolutely amazing. The music, expertly played by our talented piano player Elizabeth, filled the space with a beautiful ambiance, enhancing every moment. As I walked toward my soon-to-be husband, a rush of emotions flooded over me. My heart raced with anticipation and joy, each step feeling both surreal and profound. This is the man I’ve prayed for my entire life, in that moment I completely forgot anyone else was in the room with us. I felt a sense of calm wash over me, mingling with excitement, as I saw the look on his face. His eyes sparkled with love and hope, grounding me in the moment. Every detail faded into the background as I focused on him, this is the beginning of our life together. The love we shared filled the air, and in that moment, everything felt perfectly aligned. It was a moment I will cherish forever.As we exchanged our vows, we were surrounded by our closest family and friends, their joy adding to the magic of the day. The love and support in the room made everything feel even more special.After the ceremony, the reception was truly incredible. We decided to host it in our backyard, transforming our home into a warm and inviting space. We set up tables and chairs from The Rental Brothers Inc in the living room, while cocktail tables adorned the backyard with tons of fairy lights. To enhance the celebration, we also rented a large marquee tent from Grace Party Rentals, creating a perfect atmosphere for dancing and festivities after dinner. Our caterer, Rocky Mountain BBQ; delivered an exquisite meal that left everyone raving about the flavours and presentation. Each detail was meticulously planned, creating a seamless and unforgettable experience for all. We were worried we wouldn’t have enough food but their platters and food sizes were absolutely incredible and ended up feeding 12 people on a family trip afterwards for a few days!A wonderful neighbour crafted a beautiful wedding cake just for the two of us, but we also ordered custom donuts, cookies, and macarons from Pretty Sweet Co. The treats were stunning, with our initials pressed into the cookies and the donuts and macrons perfectly matching our wedding colours. They were definitely a crowd favourite!We danced the night away, enjoyed a cozy fire under the tent, and shared stories until the evening came to a close. Every moment came together beautifully, transforming our wedding into a cherished memory that we will hold dear forever. My husband and I often talk about wanting to relive that perfect day surrounded by our favourite people. The intimate backyard reception was the ideal way to celebrate—everyone felt comfortable and at ease, with no stress.
