The story of our wedding

We chose to have an intimate ceremony in the Canadian Rockies. Due to COVID it was just our parents there. I had always been told to expect for things to not go as planned on your wedding day and to not sweat the small stuff... and considering the year it’s been I tried not to set my expectations too high. But wow! What a day! The weather was perfect with clear blue skies and +21 out which for October 1st in Canmore is unusual. Literally everything went perfectly. The vendors were all fantastic to work with and the day felt so magical. My husband and I keep reliving it over and over almost in shock of how perfect it felt. We had our ceremony outdoors at the Canmore golf and curling club which was stunning! After which we took photos with Jenna Grey at quarry lake, she was amazing to work with (see sneak peak feature photo) . We then had dinner in the private room at The Sensory which was beautiful and delicious! After everything was said and done I am so happy we had such an intimate wedding, it made it feel incredibly special and I truly couldn’t have dreamed up a better day. We spent the next day for our quick little honeymoon at Emerald Lake where we rented a canoe. It is so stunning there! We were once again in awe of the perfect moments of the day. Considering all the lows of 2020 I felt so blessed that our elopement somehow ended up perfect.
