1 Oct, 2022The story of our wedding
A warm October day featuring gorgeous fall colours at The Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville, Ontario.
It was a day filled with love and support from our wedding party, family, and friends.
We aimed to have a modern, but romantic and intimate feel. We brought in a hint of luxury by having the bridesmaids wear velvet dresses each in a different jewel-toned colour. The groomsmen wore navy suits with corresponding jewel-toned ties to match the bridesmaids. Post-ceremony, the bridesmaids loved wearing their fur shawls.
For the floral arrangements, our florist took our wedding colours and added a lot of texture with different flowers (anemone marianne, burgundy dahlia, cappuccino roses, blue thistle, ivory spray roses, and burgundy ranunculus), greenery (seeded and silver eucalyptus), and berries. The bouquet flowers were arranged in a loose and natural way that added an effortless but stunning look. Our florist used the same flowers in the bouquets to decorate our triangular arbour for our ceremony which added to the beauty of the water backdrop on the Sunset Bay Lawn.

The lighting, especially after our ceremony was so perfect. We were able to capture all that golden hour has to offer with some truly amazing pictures with our wedding party and as a couple.
Many of the guests enjoyed our wedding favours - individual bottles of maple syrup from a local sugar shack - what could be more perfectly Muskoka?
