The story of our wedding

It was a small wedding at the legion. We used the upstairs hall and used it for the ceremony and reception. Peggy at the legion was absolutely fantastic is helping me plan the small things you tend to forget about like a cake table and one to sign your marriage licence on. Deborah Haig from Dream Weddings was our officiant. She was so sweet, helpful professional and funny. We wanted a nice, light, non religious ceremony and that is exactly what we got. She met with us to get an idea of our personalities and how we wanted things to go. I couldn't imagine anyone else marrying us. She certainly helped my poor nervous man while he waited for me to get there. You can tell she really loves marrying people and shes so very good at it. All the ladies got dressed from Best for Brides in Hamilton and the staff there were so very helpful, she even picked my dress for me because I didnt see if and didnt think I'd like it when she did pull it. Boy was I wrong. I love that dress. Michelle from Set the Mood Decore did the backdrop and chairs. I didn't have to do any tear down she came and did it, which at the end of the night, believe me, is a huge deal. Black Tie Catering did the food, it was family style and so delicious. At the end of the dinner there were leftovers and she asked if I wanted to take them or she could donate it to a local shelter. Heck yes donate it please, is probably what I said. How was I going to take all the food home and go on our honeymoon. I'm so happy the leftovers could go to someone who would enjoy them as opposed to the garbage. Ky Gratton was the photographer. I've known him since we were in kindergarten together so it was very special to have him there. Hes such a fun loving guy who knowns how to get those memorable candid shots. Mermaid Limo was our transportation and the driver was excellent and super helpful with tips on getting in and out of the limo with that dress on. He also drove for my best friend's wedding. Glam and Go Niagara came and did our hair which looked great and was at a reasonable price. Sorry I can't say anything about a cake. My grandma made mine and it was so delicious. I also did my own flowers and centrepieces. And my sister-in-law made the wedding favours which were chocolate dipped pretzels with one groom and one bride. Well that's my wedding day in a nutshell.
