The story of our wedding

There was no question in my mind that I wanted a winter wedding. I always found winter to be so cosy and romantic and just...beautiful.

I had wanted snow four our special day and man did we get it. I had a lot of people coming up to me throughout the night saying "well, you got your wish."

The Eglinton Grand was the perfect wedding venue and it had guests raving. It took my breath away to see our names on the marquee. It was all the perfect combination of uniqueness and elegance. I felt like a movie star.

We had an emotional, tear-filled ceremony in the upstairs ceremony room and then everyone moved out and through the main front doors and up to the mezzanine for cocktail hour.

We'd kept it a surprise that we were going to move from cocktail hour to our first dance with our song starting to play and the curtains opening to the ballroom below with us dancing. It was very dramatic and seemed to be a big hit. I didn't even trip while dancing!

There was dinner, speeches, cake (which we had so much leftover, yum), a bouquet toss, a garter toss, dancing and late-night popcorn to go with our movie theatre venue.
