The story of our wedding

Christina and I had a beautiful rustic barn wedding out in Gatineau, Quebec. We wanted to be out with nature and only 60 of our closest family and friends.Christina and I met in college, fell hopelessly in love, and travelled to Spain on a backpacking trip 2 months after we met. We knew from the start that we were soulmates. Fast forward three years, and Christina proposed by lining our apartment with love notes and a string tying them together. There were candles, a record on, and a glass of wine for me to pick up on my way around reading each note. When I got to the end, Christina was on one knee. It was magical.We planned a fall wedding because of the wonderful smells and fresh winds. The weather ended up being exactly how we had planned. We brought a bunch of blankets for guests so that they could enjoy the evening outside if it started getting too cool.Our wedding meal and appetizers were completely vegan and delicious. Our wedding day was full of love and the best day of our lives. The harvest moon was high in the sky while we drank gin & tonics around a bonfire, took photographs in a field, and danced all night to crazy music. Everyone felt the energy from the night and we are so grateful we could enjoy it with our loved ones.To help folks remember the night, we supplied polaroid cameras for them to take photos and hang up on a board which turned out to be so much fun! People really enjoyed taking ridiculous photos and it was very nice to have different kinds of photos from our special day. My favourite part of the night was slow dancing to a pop song with my elderly grandfather.We are still basking in the glow of the day and are excited to share it.
