The story of our wedding

We got engaged on August 6, 2020 on my parents acreage in front of my family. The yard has been in my family for over a hundred years—it's where I grew up, and it's my favourite place in the world. Cole surprised me, I had no idea he was going to propose. I actually thought my dad had a horse hidden somewhere in the yard, even though I was 33 at the time... I still thought my dad was surprising me with a pony haha. When I opened my eyes and saw Cole down on one knee—it took me a minute before I realized what was happening.

Our wedding was incredible! The weather was perfect, a beautiful 22 degrees, sunny with a light breeze. We had a tent set up on my parent's acreage, we set up chairs in a separate part of the yard for the ceremony. I walked out of the french doors onto the deck of my parent's farmhouse and down the stairs to meet my father who walked me down the aisle. It was a dream. Everyone threw confetti as Cole and I made our way back down the aisle following our vows and first kiss as a married couple. All of our friends and family were in attendance.
