The story of our wedding

We got married on my aunt Caroline's farm. We had a beautiful ceremony where our officiant did a video game ceremony for us. My husband is a big gamer. What she did was get us to stand near our wedding party about 10 feet apart and our guests had to answer questions about our relationship if they answered correctly we got to take a step closer to each other. Essentially leveling up and at each level, we got a special key that got bigger each level our guests got an answer right until we were standing in the middle in front of our office. During our engagement both my fiance at the time and I had to answer questions about each other that she incorporated into our ceremony. We also chose to do a Celtic hand-tying ceremony where our wedding party placed ribbons on top of our hands and then our officiant tied it around our hands. It represented us tying the knot. My husband also had his groomsmen throw flower petals as they were walking down the aisle. It was hilarious. And when it came to putting the rings on our fingers the ring I gave my husband was from my maid of honor whose husband passed away from cancer and her husband was also my husband's best friend. He didn't know whose ring in was until the moment I placed it on his finger. Let's just say there wasn't a dry eye. Then when we said I do, I didn't say it loud enough so I proceeded to scream I do. Our ceremony was beyond anything we could have ever dreamed up. I highly recommend going with Imagination celebrations for an officiant and asking for Lise. She did a beautiful job and went above and beyond for us to plan our wedding. We've now been happily married for 500-something days. It hasn't exactly been the easiest first year of marriage for us. We unfortunately had to say goodbye to my dear sweet mama who got diagnosed with cancer in January and passed away on April 28. Our wonderful officiant came to her funeral and said we were her favorite couple that she married and she's also writing a book about all the ceremonies she's been an officiant and is going to mention our wedding. I look forward to buying a copy and reading about our wedding in the future. My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better day then the one we had on our wedding day. It really was the best day of my life and it was beyond anything I could have ever imagined. I now get to spend the rest of my life with the man of my dreams and our cat Harley.
