The story of our wedding

Being a non-traditional couple we wanted to elope. And that was the plan, then it wasn't. It all started when we had a interview with CBC radio. We announced our engagement to the family that way. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. So a family friend said I should buy a dress. Therefore I did, and it was sleeveless and long. But then again it wasn't the dress' fault, it was mine because I was short. So I hemmed it. And behold I had fabric for sleeves. Suddenly we also had rings and the perfect outfit for our son. Then came the big day. We had it all planned out. I was checking the weather for weeks. It was the perfect day for a wedding in the park. The park is special to us. Being out of the ordinary, we walked there with our wedding party. It wasn't a large wedding. And there weren't many people there. Only the closest family and friends. We didn't even have the rings case they were sent out to be engraved. I was wearing a necklace my husband gave me years ago when we first met. It had broken before, so I fixed it. The necklace was delicate so I only wore it for this occasion as my something blue. After we walked back to the house for a barbecue. This is as perfectly simple as it gets. I think.
