The story of our wedding

On Christmas day, 3 years ago we got engaged. In our wildest dreams, we never thought we'd be able to afford to have our wedding. Our family and friends would ask constantly: "Have you set a date yet?" and every time the answer was no. 3 years later, we were set on doing it no matter the cost. We picked our date, right in between both of our birthdays in March of 2019. Almost everything for our wedding was done by ourselves. We made our own cake & cake topper, we spray painted and made our own centrepieces, even our own bouquets and boutonnieres! I even DJ'd my own wedding. The week before the wedding, we started to panic, worrying whether everything would be done in time and set in place. The undertaking of setting everything up ourselves in a matter of hours was terrifying but with the help of family and friends we did it! Our hall was pretty low budget but with the decorations, it looked gorgeous! Still feels so surreal that it is over. It really was the happiest day of our lives. We danced the night away!
