The story of our wedding

I know everyone says it, but honestly it's THE BEST DAY EVER! I wish I could do it again next year! Everyone was there to party just for us! We had a New Year's Eve wedding with a midnight countdown in a big beautiful ballroom at WinSport. They had the skihill all lit up for the evening with large windows. The food was outstanding and we did family-style service - food is meant to be shared - and served Black Forest cupckes from Black Dog bakery. We had games for people to play in the venue, handed out 1.5 ft sparklers to everyone throughout the evening and played Auld Lang Syne at the end of the night. We had pictures done by Jackson Carter including a photo shoot at the Lougheed House. Our bridesmaid dresses were from RenzRags online at Etsy. We stayed on budget by planning it all ourselves: buying decorations from FB marketplace (and then selling them back for other brides to use), getting flowers from Costco and renting beautiful whimsical plate chargers off FB for 50 cents each. We also rented a van and hired a university student to shuttle people home. I could go on and on, but loved every second of the planning. It's about the details!
