The story of our wedding

Our wedding was very, very small. We were just 11 in total. We're much much older and have already been together 17 years. It was just time to make it "legal". I didn't even start planning until May and finding a venue that would take a group as small as ours was the hardest part. Once I did, things fell into place. I wanted a short dress. I wanted things to be very simple and easy. I ordered my dress and I knew it would be too long but I was talked into keeping it floor length. It turned out ok. Because we got married in October I wanted sleeves. I'm not tiny in size either so I didn't want strapless. Adding the jacket to the dress was a lot more work than I expected and in the end it didn't turn out exactly right, which was disappointing but I just had to go with it.

Our venue was absolutely the BEST!! If anyone wants somewhere really great in Niagara on the Lake to have their wedding, The Oban Inn is totally one of the best locations you could choose. Their bridal suite is beautiful and a great place to get dressed and have pictures done. Because we were such a small group the manager let us select directly from the main menu and just set a price for us but they do have wedding menus available. They can only have up to 45 people so it's the perfect place for a small wedding. The food was absolutely fabulous! We had delicious local wines with our meal. Everything you need is all there locally. Flowers, cake, photographer. Everything was within a 10 to 15 minute drive. Even hair and make up is available. Plus there is a spa in the hotel if you want to be pampered before your wedding.
