The story of our wedding

Engaged in September 2020, we had been indecisive in regards to when we should attempt to get married with the chaos of the pandemic still ongoing. We decided that we didn't want to wait, and would work with what we could! So we planned, and ended up getting married in September of 2021.It was chaotic, crazy, stressful, but also amazing, exhilarating, and SO much fun. Despite the number of things that went wrong (there were quite a few lol), everyone had fun, and we got married! It was all we really had wanted from the 'get go'.Our venue was beautiful. Highly recommend. The hired coordinator knew her stuff, was flexible, and resourceful in the planning. As noted, some things went wrong and got chaotic in the days leading up to and including our wedding day, but thankfully the positives outshone those things, so over all, no regrets. The day of coordinator did her best and was a hit with the guests. I would 100% recommend a day of coordinator, if you're unsure whether or not it's worth it - it is.Our officiant Shawn from Young, Hip and Married was PHENOMENOL. He got to know us, our story, and the vibe we were going for, and it was great. one of the best parts of the day. He prepared us, walked us through it, and made us laugh. Another 100% recommend.Our original DJ bailed last minute and we were saved by In the Mix Productions. Played every song we requested, kept people dancing all night and thankfully no rain since it was no dancing inside! Our ceremony music was well done, and our first dance song too. Highly recommend. Did a lot of DIY, and as much of the decor as I could. Table settings, etc. It was a whimsical theme :) Just an idea until it came together night before! LOTS of work. Glad its something you don't have to do regularly, ill say that ;) but I was SO happy with how everything came together. Favorite moment of the wedding we think was saying I DO! and walking back down that aisle together - MARRIED! We also had a blast dancing and spending time with our loved ones. It was so much fun, but a whirlwind! Exhausting! When the night ends you wish you could go back and play it all again, but slo-mo!ALSO the food. Lori's Catering is the absolute BOMB. They went above and BEYOND. It was an amazing day and experience.
