The story of our wedding

We had planned a small desitnation wedding in the beautful Rocky Mountains of Canmore, and decided that we wouldn't need a back up plan for our outdoor ceremony, as it typically doesn't rain too much there this time of year. Afterall, rain on your wedding day is good luck, right? Well, it poured! Thankfully we had let all 44 guests know ahead that it was rain or shine, so they all came prepared and we had a beautiful, rainy and memorable ceremony outdoors at Rundleview Parkette. Our Planner, Something New Weddings, was prepared with clear umbrellas for the wedding party and our photographer, Kim Payant, captured the moody and beautiful clouds and mountains, regardless of the rain.

We managed to find some indoor spaces for some gorgeous photos, and then were blessed with a brief reprieve from the rain to catch a few shots outside as well.

Our reception was at Murietta's in their private room. The food, service, dancing and atmosphere was exactly what we hoped for! We were surrounded with friends, family, love and music and had a truly perfect day!
