28 Jul, 2023The story of our wedding
On June 8th, 2022, my heart danced to a new rhythm as the love of my life knelt before me, proposing in a manner that transcended grandeur. The setting was our sanctuary, the place where our souls intertwined effortlessly – our home. The ring was the ring of my dreams. The simplicity of his proposal held the power to eclipse even the grandest gestures, for in his words, I found a love that needed no spectacle to shine.
With WeddingWire on our side, we embarked on a journey of planning and anticipation, our hearts full with excitement. The details chosen were a reflection of us – every choice and decision mirroring the love we had nurtured. The venue and every single vendor was an integral part of our elite team and largely provided by WeddingWire recommendations!
Our outdoor ceremony had a pond with resident swans as the backdrop and a beautiful, large, white tent to house our family and friends. The officiant (Kim Adeney - weddingwire), with wisdom etched into every word, spoke of the journey that had led us to this point – a journey of laughter, tears, and unwavering support. Each vow we exchanged was a promise - to hold each other's hand in the face of life's uncertainties, and to dance through life as partners, lovers, and friends. The exchange of rings was a moment suspended in time. And then came the pinnacle of our ceremony, the kiss that sealed our promises. It was a kiss filled with a lifetime of love, a kiss that echoed the sentiment of our hearts – that from this day forward, we would navigate life's journey as one.

Our dogs were able to join us for our special day. We were able to capture meaningful moments with our fur children that we will always remember.
We started the celebrations with amazing food, drink and service. The food provided at The Manor was a culinary masterpiece and a clear passion for service! The rave reviews from our guests were a testament to the meticulous care taken to ensure that every dish was a work of art, a love letter written with flavors and spices.
The bridesmaids shocked us with some surprise choreography to "Oh Mickey you're so fine you blow my mind," during their arrival into the reception space!
I made my own wedding signs, wedding cake, cupcakes, as well as my own cookie favours/place cards which received many compliments such as, "we thought these were made by professionals!" I even painted figurines of our pets to be included with the cupcakes!
DJ Nine spun tracks that invited every guest to surrender to the rhythm and laughter filled the room with every twirl and step. He took his duties as MC seriously, which he executed effortlessly. We all threw down on the dance floor until the lights came on.
And so, our wedding day became a masterpiece painted with love, woven with flavors, and set to the rhythm of joy. It was a day where the mundane transformed into the extraordinary, where love was the true north that guided every decision, and where the memories forged would forever illuminate the path of our shared future. From the intimate proposal that started it all to the grand celebration that united us with family and friends, our wedding was a reflection of a love that found its brilliance in the authenticity of each shared moment.
