The story of our wedding

We got married at Saint Matthew Parish on July 23rd, 2021 with immediate family only, a change made from our original plans due to Covid-19 (including having to postpone our wedding a year). We hired amazing vendors who helped make our day so special! First, the girls got ready at Candice's/Freedbird Beauty Co.'s hair studio in Ancaster, where our make-up artist Melissa (Beyond the Skin) showed up to help glam us. Urban Jungle Flowers was able to deliver my bridal bouquet to the studio, then drop off the boutonnière at my fiancé's family home. Then, Rai, our photographer, Ernesto, our cinematographer and Luc, our audio-engineer, all from Happy Studios came to take some getting-ready shots. Once we were all glammed up, we made our way over to the church and officially tied the knot! Afterwards, we went and took more photos/videos across the street at Nottinghill Gate Park (so very fortunate that it was a beautiful day!). Afterwards, we headed back to our new home where Chef Stephan had prepared hors d'oeuvres and a wonderful steak dinner for us. Weil's Bakery was able to drop off our wedding cakes (one regular, the other gluten-free) at the house and added some flare to our dessert table with beautiful flowers and leaves. We had a wonderful dinner at home, speeches/toasts, first dance, father-daughter and mother-son dances, some dancing with the whole family and some delicious wedding cake. Despite Covid's wrench in our plans, we managed to have the perfect wedding and everything went off without a hitch! We should have totally just planned a small intimate wedding like this from the start!
