The story of our wedding

Once upon a time, a Canadian girl met an American boy and they have been in love ever since. On September 18, 2021, we had the wedding of our dreams. Everything was beyond perfect. This was our fourth wedding date attempt with COVID (don’t give up covid brides!). Originally we were getting married in May 2020, then Sept 2020, then May 2021 and finally working out for September 2021. Both covid and the closure of the US border (as the grooms guests were all coming from the US) kept affecting us. We went through a few venues and vendor switches along the way, but our perfect day finally worked out. We had the most beautiful ceremony at the Marriott Harbourfront’s patio, we got married overlooking the harbour with our reception at the Lower Deck Tap Room (right next door!) we truly lucked out with these two locations. Both were stunning and SO convenient for our guests. We also had prime photo spots on the waterfront and historic properties. The only thing we hadn’t been able to plan ourselves was a way to get our sweet furbabies to our big day, but part way through the ceremony, myself and the groom got the BEST surprise in the world when our amazing dogs showed up. Not a dry eye at the ceremony when that happen! It was my fairytale come true, and it was worth the wait.
