The story of our wedding

After postponing our original wedding set for August of 2020, we re-imagined our 2021 wedding. We made the decision to move our wedding from the original location to Heath's family ranch south of Longview. The ranch set the perfect backdrop of rustic charm. We spent the week prior enjoying time with each other, getting the large white tent set up, and preparing the ranch for all of our friends and family to enjoy. The gals got ready in the log cabin with the help of Kamala (Gypsy Styles hair) and Jasmine (make-up). We enjoyed breakfast and mimosas together while laughing and getting ready to 90s country. The boys went for a round of golf in Claresholm and then came back to get ready in the bunkhouse. The groom and groomsmen rode in on horseback to the ceremony. The day was warm and breezy and the smoke had cleared over the hills to reveal the beautiful backdrop. A bear even loped on through the field as we were taking photos. Jalisse photography and the Camera Crew were there to capture all of the special moments. From branding our family brand onto a piece of wood to complete our ceremony to driving up the hills to catch the last bits of light over the valley. Shadow and her team at Prairie Stone catering provided food for cocktail hour, dinner and midnight snack - making sure everyone was well fed. One of my favourite moments was at dinner when I could look out over all of the guests to the open side of the tent and see the land rolling out before us. This is my favourite place and I was so happy we could share it with everyone. This was exactly where it was meant to be. After some heartfelt speeches and a few tears we had High Steppin Daddy kick off the music! They were incredible! The energy was so high and they nailed our country/rock favourites. There was a full dance floor most of the night - everyone two stepping and having a great time. Safe to say, our guests had been waiting for this day to let loose and party. We had the absolute best day ever!
