The story of our wedding

We were engaged for 2 years before our wedding day, but we pulled a wedding together in about 6 months with the help of family and the venue. Fraser River Lodge was beautiful and we really went minimal with the decorations and extras. We invited 42 of our closest friends and family to participate with us. We hit a very unexpected snag on our way to the venue as there was a major accident on the highway, causing us to be stopped for 2 hours. Thankfully all our decorations were in a seperate car and we were able to detour the rest of our wedding party and guests around the accident. As a result though, we were nearly 2 hours later than expected so the morning and setup was a whirlwind. We were able to arrange our legal marriage during the day, and do a private first look prior to the start of the ceremony - having our first look was so great as an opportunity to reconnect since we had been seperated all morning. Our friend officiated the ceremony for us, where we exchanged our own vows.
