The story of our wedding

My now husband and I got engaged in Whistler, on June 26, 2020, a place that's near and dear to both our hearts. We planned our wedding but COVID-19 made it so hard to make any plans final. We stuck to our original wedding date of September 4th - we said we would go through with it at any size, we just wanted to get married! Thankfully, in BC, the restrictions worked in our favour, and our venue allowed us to hold up to 80 guests. We had an amazing ceremony (at a church in Langley), and our reception at Burnaby Mountain Clubhouse was unforgettable. Michelle, the events co-ordinator at Burnaby Mountain, made our event so special, together with all of our vendors. The food was so spectacular, thankfully I was able to eat! Our DJ helped set the mood, and we partied the night away. My favourite memory was my husband's surprise to me - he's Mexican, and I'm Brazilian, he brought in a full 12 piece Mariachi band, Los Dorados. What a surprise! They were so amazing, and we've never danced so much. Every single one of our guest commented on them in the weeks after the wedding. It really was a memorable night not just for us, but for all of our guests. It was a day we will never forget - and during such crazy times too. We are so thankful for everyone who helped us make this possible (:
